- Bo-kaap - After returning to the mainland, enjoy a drive through Bo-Kaap to learn how Malay slaves influenced the culture, cuisine, and aesthetics of this beautiful city and its people. In the heart of the city, take a short walk through the Company Gardens. From squirrels to various plant life, it’s a delightful place to soak up some ‘Cape Town vibes’ and enjoy the aviaries and fishponds. At the Wale Street end of the garden, you’ll find a monument commemorating the life and work of Desmond Tutu, affectionately known by South Africans as “The Arch,” which pays tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. The Arch for Arch was installed next to the historic St. George’s Cathedral, also known as the “People’s Cathedral” for its role in the resistance against apartheid. Visit the Slave Lodge to explore the history of these unwilling immigrants and their contributions to the richness and diversity of South African history.

Wonderful day full of history and culture - My husband and I took the Private Full Day Robben Island & CIty tour during our South African honeymoon. Our tour guide, James, was so knowledgeable as he led us around the city. The Robben Island tour was sobering and informative, and a must do when in Cape Town. Our driving tour covered many interesting neighborhoods, and included stops at the Company Gardens and the Castle of Good Hope.

Marc Anthony, Thank you! - I travelled to Capetown for my birthday this past May. I purchased the Robben Island and City Center Full Day Tour and I must say that my guide, Marc Anthony, was phenomenal. He was prompt and friendly. He has extensive knowledge of Capetown and it's history. I enjoyed learning about South Africa and conversing with him. Although I was travelling alone I never felt vulnerable with Marc and I know that this is in large part due to Marc's knowledge of Capetown and effortless pleasant attitude that he carried to every place and to every one we met. I cant praise him enough!Thank you Marc! Thank you Ilios!
