Fantastic food tour! - Frank did an excellent job showing us around Cape Town and teaching us about the city through food. We were really pleased with the evening time slot as well. It was perfect for dinner. We highly recommend this food tour!

Walking at a local town - Carol's tour was great. The first impression was good with the smile. They took us to places we wouldn't have been able to go on our own to eat food from South African culture and food from other countries. The food at each restaurant was delicious and I felt a sense of familiarity. I was deeply moved by the historical explanations. Play with squirrels at the park The communication with my daughter was very calming and heartwarming. I was very grateful to them for always taking care of us during the tour. Anyway, I have to sign up for the tour. There was no town, so Thank you Carol and your company. Karin’s mom

Yummy Tour - Tasting the different foods from different cultures was delicious. I liked that our guide explained not only the ethnic group that makes the items but also the process and ingredients.

It was ok - The neighborhood was not good. We were told to not take out our cell phones because people would steal them. The tour guide said this was his first tasting tour. He normaly does the site tours. He knew the history of the community however did not know the foods. So we had to rely upon the people at the restaurant to tell us what we were eating. They gave us very little info aside from what the dish was. The tour guide was nice and made sure we all got in our Ubers to our destination. I would have like to know more about the foods.

Okay Food Tour, But BEWARE of Walking in Cape Town! - The first food stop--I believe it was Ethiopian--was the best, with delicious shared food. The other 3 stops were fair, some of the chicken and fish dishes were dry and over-cooked. One serious problem came at the very end of the tour. We finished at around 4:30pm and told the guide that we were walking back to our hotel (about a 30 min. walk to near the Gardens Shopping Center). He should have warned us that walking around Cape Town is VERY dangerous, not only that, but he confirmed that we were heading in the right direction, when if fact we were heading in the exact opposite direction from our hotel, which caused us a 20 min. delay to get ourselves on the right track in near darkness. As we finally neared the hotel, one of our group of four was attacked, had a cell phone stolen, and ended up in the emergency room. We later learned of others who had been mugged while walking in Cape Town. BEWARE! Do not walk around in CTown!

Overpriced - Overpriced, small portions, dirty places. The food was tasty but we were afraid to eat it. “Street “ food establishments. I saw a cockroach running on the wall next to me.

Wouldn’t recommend - Overall, we were disappointed in our experience. Our guide (Carol) was very friendly and knowledgeable about Cape Town. The tour started off well as we were able to visit areas of Cape Town we weren’t comfortable visiting on our own. The restaurants that we did visit were clean and the food was good. Unfortunately the tour felt very rushed. We were very surprised when the guide announced that the tour was over at the third restaurant. It was about 1 1/2 hours long and not the 4 hours as advertised. Carol did point out some interesting historical sights along our walk and we enjoyed his company during the tour but both my husband and I felt a bit ripped off when the tour was over. We would of been better taking one of the free (for tips) walking tours and just finding an authentic restaurant for lunch.
