Fun Culinary Experience - Fantastic evening with Rich and Gillian in their home (approximately a 25-minuted drive from the V&A Waterfront). They are both passionate about good food with the freshest ingredients. An excellent meal and conversation(s). The multi-course meal was paired with wine from their extensive cellar. They do contact guests in advance to see if there are any food issues/preferences/allergies.

A Fantastic Evening - We had a great time during our visit last week. Richard and Gillian were great hosts. The food was terrific and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended. About 25 minutes from central Capetown but easy and cheap by taxi or uber.

Great experience - Rather a leap in to the unknown but, golly, what a terrific experience.Certainly very much off the beaten track but our hosts were just lovely - gushing with informative discussion and local knowledge that one couldn't ever glean elsewhere. In short - really very good indeed. Oh yes, and the food was fantastic too!

Everything you hope you are going to... -
Everything you hope you are going to get in this type of food experience: excellent food, lively conversation and a friendly home atmosphere! I highly recommend this tour as a refreshing change from restaurant eating which, much as you love it, does not have the unique circumstances if you are in the right home setting - this is the perfect place.

Dinner in South African Home - We want to start by saying we had a nice time. First, it took us 1.5 hours by Uber to get there because of rush hour. We were staying at the waterfront in Cape Town. The couple was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed being in a real South African home and enjoyed the conversation. I think I would change the name of the tour and maybe call it Home Cooked Meal in South African Home. We usually start all our holidays with a cooking class. We probably have done 6 classes like this around the world and have always made the entire meal. Here I peeled some guava and chopped some vegetables. We received no copies of recipes. The food was tasty. We had hake as an appetizer, main included a salad, meatballs, and rice. Finished with a dessert of cooked guava. We had 1 glass of pinotage. I think this was overpriced. We ate at some very nice restaurants while in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, and Victoria Falls and never paid over $120 US dollars for a meal including wine, appetizer, main, and dessert. It just wasn’t what we expected.
