It starts on the north face of the mountain with breath taking views of the city and Table Bay, then it swings around to the west side of the mountain, with superb views of Camps Bay, the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic Ocean. The route involves scrambling (elementary climbing) and exposure to heights (narrow ledges – nothing extreme) about 15% of the way, so you do need a head for heights. No experience required, only a sense of adventure! Hike Duration: About 3.5 hours Hike Distance: About 3 km / 1.9 miles Elevation Gain: 700 meters / 2300 feet

Beautiful morning views! - What an amazing day! Lynette was such a lovely guide. Punctual, experienced, knowledgeable and just a lovely person. We headed up the mountain and decided to change our path as it was getting a bit windy. Following Lynette’s suggestion we went left and had a gorgeous hike with amazing views. Thank you for a great Table Mountain experience!

2 hikes in 2 weeks. Both 5star - Great experience, highly recommend these guys. We firstly went to platteklip which was great, then took it up a notch for Indian Venster a week later. Both I'll remember for life

Best experience Table Mountain Hike! - Liesl is the best guide you could ever ask for! She made us comfortable with route option before deciding India Venster! She also helped other hikers who needed guidance as well. Thank you Liesl for taking bunch of pictures in the most challenging cliff! We had the best time! Definitely will come back and hike again!

A must do!! - What an awesome experience. Lynette was a great guide, very informative, very friendly and extremely patient when I had a few nervous wobbles. When I got nervous, Lynette encouraged me and showed me where to best hold and place my feet. There is no better way to see Cape Town other than the top of table mountain on a clear day. We took the Indian Venster route which has spectacular views and a little challenged in places but so worth it.

India Venster Walk Review - I went for the India Venster hike together with my guide Lynette (and was joined by two others). Before I went I had some doubts as I was not at my peak fitness and also didnt have proper hiking shoes. However, I am super glad I did go as it was an amazing experience and Lynette was an awesome guide! Yes, the first 30 minutes or so were a bit tough (also due to the sun) and some climbs were quite steap, but I can assure you that everyone will make it and the views + the experience is definetely worth it!! :)

Must-do Cape Town experience with the best guide! - I booked a private tour with Lynette to hike India Venster at sunrise and it was fantastic. Lynette collected me from my hotel in the waterfront at 5:30am and for the entire three or so hours it was super easy to talk to her. Her knowledge of the history of the mountain, the route and the flora and fauna were extremely impressive so it was a great learning experience as well as a really enjoyable hike. I would definitely book a tour with Lynette again.

EPIC - So glad we didn’t try to do this alone! - Wow! What an experience (and what an experienced guide!)
After hiking Lion’s head at sunrise with Matthew (totally recommend) we called Linette again to see if she could sort Table Mountain for us. It was nothing short of spectacular. Our guide Matthew know all of the nooks and crannies and was a fountain of information. It was an epic experience - don’t miss it if you’re visiting Cape Town! We’re so glad we booked a guide, it made the climb so much safer and more relaxed. Also - he’s fab at taking instagram-worthy snaps.
