Highlights
 • Cape Point Nature Reserve - The beautiful rugged coastline towards Cape Point is breathtakingly beautiful. At Cape Point & Cape Of Good Hope the guide will drive you to the parking area near the lighthouse and you can choose to walk up or take the funicular. There will be views Atlantic Ocean to one side and False Bay to the other side. No trip to Cape Town would be complete without a visit to The Cape of Good Hope. The southern tip of the Cape Peninsula is where you find The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a windswept park of beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs and Cape Point. You may even get a chance to spot the Chacma Baboon, various antelope and ostriches in the reserve.

Lunch is for your own account and there are two options available at Cape Point, either a sit down or take away.

 • Seal Island - At Hout Bay Harbour we will take a boat ride out to Seal Island, which is the home of about 5000 Cape Fur Seals. You will see them in their natural habitat (if the weather is bad a harbour tour will be had instead)
 • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - At Boulders Beach in Simons Town you will visit a colony of thousands of African Penguins and see them up close. The Boulders Beach penguins are about as famous as birds can be. They’re also ever-more endangered. The birds, who draw crowds of visitors who can’t resist their waddling ways, are under threat from loss of habitat, dwindling fish resources, and their human neighbours.

Essential experience of the natural Cape - Each of the attractions were beyond our expectations. Charmaine also demonstrated extensive knowledge and warmth; she was flexible and made us feel very comfortable - by the end of the day, she felt like part of the gang!

Highly recommended tour with unforgettable terrain and wildlife - Our guide picked us up right on time. She took us through the beautiful countryside south to Cape Point. We stopped to admire the beautiful countryside. When she became concerned about labor unrest in the town where we would get the boat to Seal Island, she altered the itinerary to first visit the beautiful Cape of Good Hope and then the penguins. Then we returned to the boat for the seals, but first she bought us a fantastic fish and chips lunch, locally caught fish. Delicious. Our guide was knowledgeable and led us through this fantastic tour. Highly recommended.

Fun Day! - This was a great small group experience that included a boat ride to Seal Island, a beach visit to see penguins, biking in Cape of Good Hope National Park, and hiking! Lots of fun and options if you chose not to do the more strenuous activities. Nice picnic lunch and hotel pickup included. I would suggest not hiking the trail to Cape of Good Hope if you are not in pretty good physical condition; however, the biking was not difficult. All in all it was a fast paced enjoyable day and excellent value for the price! Would definitely recommend!

To get the most of this tour you... -
To get the most of this tour you have to have the right guide who knows what they are doing - ours was booked through Touring South Africa. We left Cape Town at 8.00 am which got us to the attractions Penguins, and Cape Point before the crowds are unbearable and really prevent any enjoyment. He also took us the rightway round so that we got the maximum views of the ocean scenery. Add to that an absolutely outstanding lunch recommendation The Food Barn and we had a wonderful day.

Cape Town tour and Boulder's Penguin Sanctuary - The tour of Cape Town was fine. Our guide kept asking me if I wanted to take a picture of something - no! Had already seen most of it. Our guide was impersonal.
