- Bantry Bay - Situated at the base of Lion’s Head Mountain is the upscale suburb of Bantry Bay. Known for its calm weather, Bantry Bay enjoys over 250 wind-free days annually, which is significant given Cape Town’s typically windy climate.
- Clifton - Perched high on the mountainside is the luxurious neighborhood of Clifton. In addition to its high-end real estate, Clifton is renowned for its stunning beaches near Cape Town. The four Clifton beaches are naturally separated by granite boulders.
- Camps Bay Beach - Experience the beauty of Camps Bay, often referred to as the Beverly Hills of Cape Town. There will be a brief stop to capture photos and enjoy the views of the Twelve Apostles.
- Hout Bay - Just 15 minutes from Camps Bay lies Hout Bay, a town encircled by mountains and the chilly Atlantic. All roads leading here traverse mountain passes. Don’t be surprised by the “Welcome to The Republic of Hout Bay” sign!
- Duiker Island - The journey includes an hour-long stop at Hout Bay harbor, where you can board a boat for a 40-minute scenic trip to an island home to over 5,000 Cape fur seals. If you prefer not to take the boat, you can explore the craft market or take a short walk to Hout Bay Beach. Please note, this optional activity may extend the tour by an hour.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Departing Hout Bay, the tour continues along the renowned Chapman’s Peak Drive, a mountainside road known locally as “Chapies.” This engineering marvel winds 9km along the towering Chapman’s Peak mountains, which appear to plunge into the ocean. There will be opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean, cliffs, and sandy beaches.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - At the southern end of Chapman’s Peak Drive is Noordhoek Farm Village. The whitewashed, thatched buildings house shops offering raw juices, coffee, baked goods, restaurants, handmade crafts, and clothing. A brief stop to enjoy these offerings will be available.
- Cape Point Ostrich Farm - Just 200 meters before the Cape Point Nature Reserve is an ostrich farm where guests can stop along the road to photograph Africa’s largest bird.
- Cape Point Nature Reserve - This reserve is home to the southwesternmost point of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope. Its rich biodiversity makes it a hotspot for flora and fauna. Enjoy the views from the comfort of the vehicle or on foot.
- Cape of Good Hope - Known as the corner of Africa, where the cold Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The Cape of Good Hope is the southwesternmost point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit offer excellent activities and sightseeing. The Cape of Good Hope sign is a major attraction. Your guide will offer various hiking trail options from here.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - Walk or take a funicular (at your own expense) to South Africa’s third-oldest lighthouse for a 360-degree view of the national park. The old lighthouse, launched in 1860, was decommissioned 40 years later after studies showed its high altitude was dangerous for sailors in cloudy weather. A new lighthouse was built at a lower altitude.
- Simon’s Town - A quiet, affluent town on the False Bay coastline, Simon’s Town features Victorian architecture and some of the freshest seafood restaurants. There may be an hour-long stop for lunch, though the guide might choose to have lunch at Cape Point depending on the tour’s progress.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Home to thousands of endangered African penguins, Boulders Beach Penguin Colony offers a chance to walk on the beach and take close-up photos of these flightless birds. The guide will provide information on the penguins’ current status.
- Muizenberg Beach - Known as “The Surfer’s Corner,” Muizenberg Beach features brightly colored changing huts, perfect for a photoshoot. If time and traffic allow, this will be the final stop before heading north to Cape Town, concluding a wonderful day of sightseeing.
