- Camps Bay - Our next stop is Camps Bay, located just outside the city bowl on the Atlantic seaboard. Often referred to as the Beverly Hills of South Africa, this area offers breathtaking views. We’ll also visit Maiden’s Cove Braai area, which provides stunning vistas of the suburb, Table Mountain, Clifton, and the 12 Apostles. On a good day, you might even spot whales, sharks, dolphins, and seals.
- Hout Bay - Welcome to Hout Bay, a quaint fishing village surrounded by mountains and the cold Atlantic Ocean. It’s affectionately known as the “Republic of Hout Bay.”
- Duiker Island - We’ll drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the most scenic routes in the world, known locally as “Chapies.” This route is weather-dependent due to rock falls, but we’ll have the opportunity to stop and take in the views.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Continuing along Chapman’s Peak Drive, we’ll stop at a viewpoint to capture the stunning Atlantic seaboard coastline, stretching between Hout Bay and Noordhoek.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - Noordhoek Farm Village is our next stop for refreshments and coffee. This vibrant local farm offers raw juices in various flavors and small shops for souvenirs and crafts.
- Cape Point Nature Reserve - Cape Point National Park spans 7,750 hectares and is home to the world’s richest floral kingdom. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it boasts more plant species than the other five floral kingdoms combined. Here, you’ll find the Cape Point lighthouse and the Cape of Good Hope, the southwesternmost point of the African continent. Wildlife sightings are also possible in this nature reserve.
- Cape of Good Hope - Named by Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias in 1487, the Cape of Good Hope is known for its rough waters.
- Simon’s Town - Simon’s Town, home to the South African Navy, exudes a charming coastal town atmosphere with a rich history. Here, you can explore a bustling harbor and optional restaurants, and visit the African Penguin Colony.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Boulders Beach is home to the African Penguins, the only penguin species that breeds in Africa. You’ll have the chance to see them up close, walk along the boardwalk, and take plenty of pictures.
- Muizenberg Beach - Known as the surfer’s corner, Muizenberg is one of the best surfing beaches in Cape Town. You’ll also have the opportunity to take photos with the colorful beach houses.
