- Hermanus - As we journey from Cape Agulhas, we will pause in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, located just inland from Hermanus. This valley is renowned for its wineries, and we suggest a tasting at either Creation Wine Estate or Hamilton Russell Vineyards. Hermanus is also an excellent spot for whale watching during the season from June to November, so be on the lookout for southern right whales along the coast. For lunch, the seaside restaurants in Hermanus offer picturesque views and delectable cuisine. Let us know if you need help booking a restaurant reservation.
- Stony Point Nature Reserve - On our return trip to Cape Town from Hermanus and Cape Agulhas, we will visit the Stony Point Penguin Colony to see these delightful sea birds. Stony Point is home to one of the largest penguin colonies in South Africa.
- Cape Agulhas - Southernmost Tip of Africa - On a day trip to Cape Agulhas from Cape Town, stroll along the pathway to where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans officially converge. Stand with one foot in each ocean for a fun photo opportunity at the southernmost tip of Africa. Also, explore one of South Africa’s oldest lighthouses, located right in Cape Agulhas. This excursion offers a memorable experience during your Cape Town vacation.
- Cape Town - We will drive back to Cape Town to your starting point.

Did not stop at all locations - The full day tour was supposed to include a trip to Hermanus, Agulhas, and Stony Point. The tour listed that the fee into the Agulhas lighthouse was covered, but it was not. We had to pay to enter when we got there. We were not taken to Stony Point, no explanation provided. We did stop at a penguin sanctuary which was nice to see the penguins they are helping and explore the gift shop, but it was not what was paid for. I would have been fine with the penguin sanctuary as long as that was what was scheduled, or the change was clarified with a reimbursement (still navigating the reimbursement). The itinerary says lunch is included, to be clear that means you stop for lunch, meals are not covered. We stopped in Hermanus on the way back at 3pm for a 30 minute lunch stop. 30 minutes does not allow enough time to see the ocean and get food. We settled for a quick look and an ice cream cone. The total time listed for the full day tour was 11 hours on Viator, we were back to the hotel in 9 hours.
Paul, our tour guide, was very friendly and provided a lot of information and history.
