Highlights
  • Curieuse Island - One of the most interesting areas of the island is the mangrove swamp bordering Baie Laraie. Here, six of the seven species of mangroves known to Seychelles are found. A boardwalk built on piling goes through the swamp, allowing visitors to access the mangrove habitat even at high tide.
Curieuse is home to hundreds of giant tortoise which were introduced between 1978 and 1982. As part of the conservation programme, there is a tortoise nursery on the island, where tortoises are nurtured until they are five years old, when they are released into the wild.
  • Ilot Saint-Pierre - The iconic snorkeling spot St. Pierre is just one of the many small islands in the Côte d’Or bay on Praslin’s north-west coast. This tiny, 5,000 square-metre island lies about 1.5 km away from the beach of Anse Volbert.

The granite rock that towers out of the turquoise sea, with its small palm crown, epitomises the Seychelles perfectly. St. Pierre is popular with snorkellers and sailors, and you can also swim here if you like. Almost every boat trip from the neighbouring island of Praslin finishes its tour with a snorkelling excursion here. In addition to countless colourful reef fish, you will also likely see sea turtles here, while, high above the island, white-tailed tropical birds fly around, surveying the area.

Until 1972, guano was mined on the island, and since 1979, the island has been a part of the Curieuse Marine National Park. The latest information on boat rides and snorkelling trips to St. Pierre can be obtained from your holiday accommodation.

An UNFORGETTABLE experience - Everything was perfect!! The kindness of the boss who picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off after the excursion. The excursion itself was great with Francis, Matteo (his son) and other equally friendly crew members!! We had a great day thanks to the perfect organization. On Curious Island, we could see the turtles and pet them. Then Francis showed us around the island with some explanations. Beautiful landscapes. All this ended with a visit to Saint Pierre, a postcard landscape!! I can only recommend this amazing agency. Thank you very much for your professionalism and simplicity 😍

Absolutely incredible!!! - I would recommend anyone visiting the Seychelles to make the time to visit Curieuse, the tortoises are incredible! We also loved our guide Francis who effortlessly spoke between English, French, Dutch and even German! Making everyone feel welcome with some laughs along the way. We opted to not go for the BBQ but you can still buy beers for on the beach whilst waiting for those having lunch. The “hike” through the island was incredibly beautiful too but hot - take water and sun cream! The walk is easy and can be done in flip flops.

Amazing places, surprising stories, with a wonderfully organized and funny crew - Summary: the event is extremely well organized, the tour guide is very unique and guest-oriented, he tells a lot of interesting things, and the places are wonderful. - Details: it was rainy, so the start was questionable; hours before, the organizer was continuously available on WhatsApp and answered. On the ship, the tour guide cutely tries to connect with each traveler. The island of St Pierre is beautiful, it is avoided in such a way that we can take good photos. Snorkeling reveals a wonderful, colorful world. And the little walk on Curieuse is interesting, with a lot of information, and of course it is a surprising experience to walk among the ancient creatures. Half of one passenger's slippers were washed away from the shore, and a staff member swam after him as if saving his life. They are extremely good-natured and kind. I recommend this team to everyone!

A great experience - The trip to Curiese and St Piere was a great experience. The crew was very attentive and helpful. The guide Francis impressed me with his knowledge of flora and fauna. He even spoke German and had a humorous manner. We saw turtles of all ages, small sharks that swam curiously past us, lots of colorful fish while snorkeling and, to top it all off, even a very rare Hawksbill turtle. Then we also had Takamaka rum with orange juice.
