Great experience with Fabio and Lokoloko - Great experience. The mountain/hills of Madeira are beutyful. Exploring with Fabio, a local guide that knows the area and the people was pleasent experience. Taste Poncha and Nikita with locals is something people need to try. The taste and price is quite different from the tourist places close to the beach. I higly recomend tour with Lokoloko and Fabio. We took another tour (MTB Trail Experience and Big Game Fishing and Sittika at the Lokolok office is very helpful and has great knowledge about available activities. And both the E-bike and regular MTB were great.

A lost holiday day with very high costs. That's not what I had in mind. - The tour was advertised as suitable for all levels – beginners, advanced and pros. In reality, however, it was anything but beginner-ready. You didn’t have to specify a level of riding in advance, and even on the day of the tour the guide didn’t care what skill the participants brought. Although I stressed right at the beginning that I was a beginner, this was not discussed at all. The terrain was extremely challenging, steep and technically difficult – far from what could be described as “suitable for all”. I couldn’t ride the trails for the most part and had to push my bike over long distances while the rest of the group rode off effortlessly. Accordingly, I felt completely out of place, insecure and honestly left alone. The tour was not only frustrating, but also humiliating. I was very scared at times and no longer enjoyed driving. At noon I finally dropped out and drove back to the hotel on my own, on an Uber – out of sheer exhaustion and disappointment. The fact that the agency neither showed any understanding nor offered a refund or any form of accommodation, despite these circumstances, is the crowning achievement. A tour that is touted as “for all levels” should also live up to this claim – or at least communicate honestly that it is unsuitable for beginners. As it was, the experience was a bitter disappointment and definitely not recommended. A lost holiday day with very high costs. That's not what I had in mind.
