Great trip - The trip was as you would expect. Pickup from Cancun, comfortable bus with A/C and charging ports. Good and charming guide Mary along with nice driver Jesus that will always open the door for you. No tourist traps, no mandatory long stops at shops etc. Straight to the ruins, then to the private cenote that is way less crowded than the one most trips go after Chichen Itza. In fact there was only our group, which happened to be very small so we could even take photos with only us on the side. The company responded right away on my question I've sent via tripadvisor on the Sunday evening.

Wonderful experience, but... - Wonderful experience, but would have enjoyed time to look around alone, stayed in a group for the full 2 hrs we were there. Bring a metal water bottle cause plastic is not allowed inside. Told about hidden fees the day before the trip. Would have been nice if they let u know while booking the trip. Plan on paying approximately $40 usd the day of the trip not included in the price for booking the trip. Overall it was a great experience they should just be honest about the actual cost.

Do. NOT take this excursion. Pay $29 more for a more professional one. - The TripAdvisor advertisement stated $59 per person (all taxes incl). I received a text the day before stating there was a $40/pp addl fee for Mexican taxes and fees. Stated pesos or cash. The morning of the trip I get a WhatsApp msg stating only pesos. I scrambled trying to find an exchange station at 6:50 am to only be told, after learning the arrival time was 39 min later, that I could use cash. I know the cash option was valid because several other people paid in cash and were not told differently. The ruins were ok but the cenote was more of a family property. We had to buy the food from family members who set up an area. Just not worth $100 per person.

Experience in Tulum - The company picked up 1.5 hour from the original time and they charged us extra 40 dollars per passenger because of “taxes fees”. We couldn’t get a receipt. Tulum has very little to see but people should be informed that they can’t bring plastic (bottles of water, packed snacks, etc) despite temperatures higher than 100oF. They said that the requirement was because it’s a reserve of species in extinction. There is a lack of information before the tour.

Do Your Research - I booked a tour for 7 people on 31 AUG 2025 at 10am. We didn't catch this at the time, but my sister said the tour guide was rushing us to get us out of the Jaguar Park early to avoid a local demonstration. It turns out the locals were protesting and blocked up the park entrance/exit and we couldn't leave with our rental car. The guide knew this and took us anyway. We were trapped at the park until around 4pm when the park finally let us drive through the park to get onto roads the back way. We never even got to go to the cenote. The tour guide also asked for $40 cash each for taxes and then didn't want to give us a receipt. I don't recall that being stated when I booked this tour. Aside from being held hostage all day, the tour itself was uninformative at best, and then we didn't even get to go to the cenote but no refund was given for the "taxes" we had to pay for this tour.

Waste of $200 - We were picked up 45 minutes late with no communication from guide until 30 mins late. Cost $200 with no food included. We were rushed at Tulum and didn’t get to view the whole site. We didn’t get time to go to any gift/book shop. Spent 1.5 hours at the cenote. Only one food option for a day that took 10 hours but was a small food Cart not a restaurant. Overall awful experience. Tulum is beautiful and recommend visiting this site, just save your time and money and sign up somewhere else.
