Explore Tulum - We had a great time on our Tulum tour. We were picked up directly from our hotel and joined by a few others along the way. Everything was well-organized and smooth from the start. Our guide, Silvestre, was knowledgeable and friendly—he shared interesting facts and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the trip. The cenote themselves were nice and we had plenty of time to swim, explore, and enjoy the surroundings and grab lunch after our swim. Overall, a really enjoyable and memorable experience. Highly recommend if you're visiting Tulum!

Fun day and great way to make friends - We got picked up at our hotel, picked up a few other cool peeps at neighboring hotels, then with a van full of career aged adventurers we were off to explore. Our guide was knowledgeable and good at keeping tour schedule. Our driver was fantastic. Worth seeing and doing!

Great price for a day of Mayan culture and natural swimming hole. - Abbi was a good tour guy. The tour guy inside the ruins was not the best but he was a federal employee, not with Viator. The cenote was great, but not the one mentioned in the description. We went to Puerto Maya, which was more secluded and we were the only ones there. The food truck there was delicious, but expensive.

Great Tulum experience, it is HOT! - Our guide Mari was excellent, very knowledgeable about the ruins. She gave us helpful hints prior to getting off the van. Opt for the lunch and get the tacos, so delicious. Bring a towel for the cenote and the water is cold! I knocked a star off as it was impossible to call the company like they asked ahead of time. Trip advisor staff really helped out. The Cancun travel experience should use what’s app!

Inefficient pickups and long travel times not worth it - We drove around in circles picking up people and in one case, waited 45m for a family. The travel time both ways was over 5 hours when it should have been 2-2.5h max. It kind of ruined what were 2 beautiful experiences. The cenote was lovely - small, quiet, refreshing and the Tulum ruins were pretty cool too - lovely area. But just not worth spending 3/4th of a day with most of it driving in random directions.

Summer Too Hot! - My family and I went to Tulum in August 2025. We stayed in Tulum so the pickup spot was only a few miles from our hotel. Plastic bottles (water bottles) are not allowed inside the ruins. There's a store where you can purchase canned water and a towel (you're going to need it). Aside from the August heat, the Tulum ruins were a must see. The cenote trip after the ruins gave us a chance to cool down. The only thing I didn't like was the $40 fee for local tourism. I was unaware of this until I received the email the night before the excursion.

Decent experience - Tulum is too hyped up for what it is. I think it’s outrageously expensive and not worth the trip. I paid the company extra to pick me up and drop me off from my hotel and they didn’t do that. I did them a favor by walking to the meeting point in Playa Del Carmen since there was no sign of them picking me up from my hotel. They called me 15 minutes before 9 to say they just saw my reservation. To be fair, I did book in the middle of the night, hours before. However, if their calendar allows you to do so, I would imagine they would have a good system to catch all of these late reservations. Their description said if you are booking with 24 hours, to contact the company at the number provided. I did to no avail. The phone rang and rang and I couldn’t get through to anyone. It was meet luck that someone called me 15 minutes before scheduled departure. The driver was very nice and professional. A very kind man. Unfortunately, we got stuck on an English tour despite the fact that I specifically requested a Spanish tour. Luckily, I’m fluent in English, but my travel buddy was not and was unable to get the full experience of the tour. As a Mexican Citizen, I’m fully aware that the mandatory Mexican Government fee can be discounted with proof of your national ID. I mentioned this to the driver, but he said that was only on Sunday’s and that I needed to pay in full… I have a hard time believing this as other archeological sites grant discounts to citizens any day of the week. I paid in full anyway because I was already deep in the hole with them. The tour in Tulum was only about 25 minutes. I expected a whole history lesson and instead got a Spark Notes overview of the city that left me unsatisfied. That said, I felt I overpaid for what I got.

They did not have no... - They did not have no contact with me about the tour at all and I was waiting for 20 minutes to be picked up. Very upset and now my travel plans are ruined for the day.
