Afternoon walk - A pedestrian promenade with many businesses, with expensive and famous brands, the tour takes about 2 to 3 hours, with dining options, there are cheaper places and you should visit the Portal Maya, there is music, singers and dance, many people walking and shopping

Nice shops but stressy - 5th avenue is good however overrun with hassling sellers which made it a tad uncomfortable A great place to shop if you just ignore everyone trying to get you into their shop, bar or restaurant. Also, be aware of people impersonating staff from your hotels, they recognise wristbands and make out you know them, a bit of a scam just be aware

5th Avenue Playacar experience - We visited 5th Avenue as a couple in May, we took a taxi from our hotel Riu Playacar which was 150 peso about £6. Although it was lovely to see all the different shops & experience 5th Avenue we found alot of the shop owners would come up and say " hello I'm a waiter in your hotel, this is my day off & I'm helping at my father/uncles etc shop for the day" " come have a look" They're not waiters in the hotel the just recognise all the different hotel wristbands. We just said a polite "no thank you" & walked on. We found it to be quite expensive but also a good place if wanting to buy souvenirs. We didn't eat there but was speaking to a couple from our hotel who bought two ice-creams & when they converted the amount into pounds said it was almost £13.00

Walk along Fifth Avenue. - If you like walking, it's a nice walk. Very safe, with varied offers for some gifts or souvenirs and the cuisine is diverse and very good level. If you want to eat cheap, for 250-350 Mexican pesos you eat.

~~~ Remind me Vegas Strip ~~~ - We check out early , planning a few hours to sightseeing on the Fifth Ave , the area remind me like Vegas Fairmont Street but Fifth Ave is so long also like Vegas strip lot of Hotels and Resorts close by endless of restaurants , bars and coffee shop also friendly shopping malls , lot of cheap gift , whole street is boarded by the Caribbean Sea , most shops open 10 am in the early morning , so peaceful very calm and street well maintained , locals told us at night here like a mad mad world too crowded , best authentic Mexico Tacos on the street .
A lot of time is invested... - A lot of time goes into jewelry and the souvenir shop, on the beach they only leave you for a couple of hours. You better go on your own.
