Fun! - Great experience! Alberto and Lilly were very warm and welcoming. The lunch we made was delicious! I highly recommend. Take an Uber, very convenient.

Get local and eat local! - I want to start off with we got lucky and spoiled. When we showed up we were the only people who booked so it was basically a private chef experience. Which was AMAZING! We got to be so involved and his mother was hilarious and helpful. The food was so good. We made red and green salsa. The best Guacamole that Chef made spicy as we explained we love spicy everything. The only part that sucked is when you are staying at a resort where the minifridge is just filled with free booze you cant take it back with you. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Get you into the real Cancun and enjoy local everything. P.S. Look at what is being served on what day. I didn't do that but I love most foods so we were good to go.

Real Mexican Cooking! - If you love relaxing and enjoying good food at a friend’s house then this cooking experience is for you. My husband and I throughly enjoyed learning authentic Mexican recipies in Lilly and Alberto’s cosy kitchen. They were so very hospitable and easy to talk to. We will be making our own delicious pico de gallo, guacamole, verde and rojo salsa, chicken mole, peppers and onions, and tortillas at home after the excellent instruction we received.

A Highlight to our Trip - This experience was so special to us. Chef Alberto and his mom Lily were so knowledgeable and hospitable throughout the entire experience. Everything was wonderful! We went on a day when we were making tamales with all sorts of traditional accompaniments. The steps were easy to follow and they answered all of our questions so that we can take what we learned home to share with friends and family. If/when we return we would definitely visit with them again to learn something new! If I could rate Chef Alberto’s class any higher I would!! If you are looking for something unique and authentic, this is your way to go. I would and will recommend this experience for anyone at any cooking level. Book it and enjoy!

Amazing experience! - The experience of cooking and understanding the process was very well done by Chef Alberto and his mom! The food was delicious! Whenever I come back to Cancun again, I’ll be sure to book another session with Chef Alberto. IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA… PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY! You won’t regret it at all! Mexican Cooking Fun - Super fun and the food was authentic and delicious! Chef Alberto was able to work with my food preferences (gf vegan) as well as my husbands (meat eater). I learned a lot and had a great time. Highly recommend this experience!!!

Recommended 100% - We had an amazing experience! The food was delicious, we had fun, and left absolutely stuffed. Chef Alberto was a wonderful host and teacher, and was really great working with my two kids under 10. It was just our family of four in our class, and he even had child sized aprons handmade by his mom (who we sadly did not get to meet, so hope to next time!) We went on a Thursday so were taught how to make two types of tamales, multiple salsas, fresh tortillas, rajas, and guacamole, along with a cocktail/mocktail. We all learned a lot and had a great time- this was our ninth or tenth visit to Cancun, and in the past it has been really easy to stay in the Hotel Zone and never leave. This cooking class at Alberto’s home gave us an opportunity to see a part of the city we hadn’t visited before, and to step away from the resorts and chain restaurants for something local and more authentic. Our family will definitely do another cooking experience with Chef Alberto on a future visit!

A Great Excursion - Chef Alberto was great. He has a cozy kitchen where everything was well organized. We made 3 types of salsa, guacamole, rice, chicken and a fantastic mole sauce. The ingredient were fresh and my wife and I were actively involved in preparation, cooking and especially the eating. Alberto was kind, talented and knowledgeable. He is following his passion which is fantastic. We will do it again in 2026!

STOP STOP STOP What You are Doing and Book this Experience!!!! - From the moment we arrived, Chef Alberto and his precious mother, Lily, warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. During our time together, we were immersed in Mexican history, culture, and oh-so-delicious food. Chef Alberto curated the most wonderful recipes and provided the best instruction during our hands-on experience. We cooked, we ate, we laughed and we shared stories. By the time we departed, they were family. I can not explain how special this experience was. If you choose one outing while in Cancun, this should be it. We can't wait to return. Chef Alberto and Lilly, we miss you!

Personalized cooking - Alberto welcomed us into his home with open arms! Because no one else signed up for our date and time we got a personalized experience with just us and his amazing mom. The wonderful experience with leave lasting memories on our final day of our short Cancun trip. Thank you for the memories and the recipes!!
