Cool experience! - Today we attended to Cancun Island Tours and it was a great experience! They took us from our hotel with a very confortable bus. We had the chance to go to one of the biggest souvenir shop and also there is restaurant located inside as well. The food was amazing. After, we visited the Museum of Maya. The history which lies behind the Maya’s is very exciting. Our guide was extremely kind and explained all the historical information. For the final part, we went to the jewelry shop where you can get very cool and precious stuff. There is a huge variety of different types of jewls starting from different prices. Before taking a look at the jewelery, we had the chance to attend tequila tasting. In this place, you can find the best quality tequilas which are not available at the normal shops. All of them are tasted very differently and each one has a uniqe style. They offer you good price and a gifts if you wish to buy some bottles. The maya necklace which they gave us a gift was so kind. And also when you attend to this tour, you will have some discount promotions while your trip. It was a very good experience thank you Island Tours!

Nice trip, but… - It was a nice trip!! Friendly, professional driver and guide, they showed us the beautiful places in Cancun! Tequila tasting was great! It was a little bit early (Around 10am) nice history and store, unfortunately after the Tequilla tasting, they constantly try to sell stuff in the shop, walking around for sightseeing wasn’t almost impossible… after we went to a market shop, friendly ppl and willing to pull your money too, lol… after buying some souvenirs we went for the lunch (we include it on the booking) well, a warning here… it’s not all included as mentioned!!! 1 hour eating in total and 1 beer (small corona). First you get your drinks, then some guacamole with nachos, then you can order 3 tacos, after eating the entry and 3 tacos, almost 35 minutes are gone… after the the lunch they tried to let me pay the bill while it was included in my trip and forced to pay a tip… well.. that was very unpleasant… After all, the trip was amazing!! Driver and guide were superb and show you the great places!!! Maya museum was great!! Be aware of the snakes outside 😜 shops are out for your money and be aware of the taco lunch!

Fun day trip - Tour was good - Alex and Olga were great - Olga was very knowledgeable. Only complaint was the museum should be swapped out for another option. Not much to see and kind of a waste of time

Feedback - I was looking for a 3-5 hr tour to get off the resort, learn about the area/history and go shopping. After a lot of searching, I decided to book this excursion the night before (I was aware the museum would be closed for my tour). Pros -- The communication was great. The morning of the excursion, I received an email from the tour operator with the van/bus license place number and arrival time. It ended up being a private excursion--no one else had booked. I didn't feel rushed or on others time. Cons -- The mall stop isn't really a mall in the traditional sense. It's a jewelry shop inside/next to a resort. Yes you can buy souvenirs but first you will get shown jewelry to potentially buy. Tips -- Please consider an alternative to the museum stop on Mondays (when museum is closed). Is there another historical stop or museum close by? If not, maybe allow more time for tourists to walk around at the beach/Cancun sign. It would also be great if the tour guide would narrate a little bit about the history of Cancun area, to and from tour spots. Overall, the tour operator and driver were very friendly. The tour was average, I just was expecting a little more when it comes to learning more about history.

Don’t be Fooled, please avoid!!!! - We booked this experience under the pretense we would see sights, go shopping around Mexico, and a tasting of something. Cool, WRONG! The entire experience was an operation to get you to purchase from their partners pushy sales ppl trying to make you buy necklace, rings, whatever to go on this so called “gift” which was the ugliest pendant ever. Our host was NOT knowledgeable and the only sight we went to was the Cancun sign. Which we were rushed from and I don’t understand because we were the ONLY two ppl on this “5 hour tour” that day. We did get to sample some tequilas, then quickly carted away to be shown designer sunglasses and handmade art. Which I was NOT interested in at all. The manager from the jewelry department below was very push and boarder line rude because we weren’t interested in purchasing jewelry. On to the next stop another tasting for Tacos .. this was decent and the staff there was pleasant enough, also pushy to have you purchase souvenirs from them that we just purchased from their other partners. I was totally disappointed and could’ve explored in my own and had a better time please avoid this tour you will regret going. A waste of my time and money.
