Chichen Itzá, Cenote & Valladolid - Excellent value for money, couldn't ask for more. Simpathy, pick up at our hotel door, full and clear explanarions alongside the whole tour and friendly advices for everything everywhere across the whole trip. Hugo and Norma, top guides. They embodied everything I said above and of course a kind word for Sr. José, the driver who picked us up and returned us to our hotel with a perfect driving.

Team Cesar Bus 61 - Cesar was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and Manuel was a safe and courteous driver! Very organized with time, explanations of the sites and what to expect. Felt safe and left with a new respect for the Mexican and Mayan culture.

Life experience - We had a great experience. The price was good value. The length of visit was just right. Great atmosphere. The crowd size was nice. The staff was great, with a particular shout out to our guide Rafael! He was knowledgeable and fun! Overall enjoyed the experience and would recommend.

Not as advertised - Tour guides were good and informative but we spent an additional total of 3 hrs in 2 tourists traps where you are pressured in to buying overpriced goods, the last stop in Valladolid was advertised as looking around the histroic town but the whole time is spent in an overpriced tequila shop.

Unnecessarily long and scammy - If you are interested in exploring Chichen Itza or learning more about Mayan or Mexican culture, then I wouldn’t advise booking this tour. This excursion, while at times informative, mostly felt like one drawn-out sales pitch. The day was unnecessarily long and dragged out by pointless “tourist trap” stops that reduced our time at the actual important sights we paid to visit, like Chichen Itza and the town of Valladolid, and instead spent more time at an extorinate souvenir shop. While I understand that all excursions involve money-making opportunities, this tour felt different—it felt pushy, scammy and as though its sole purpose was to exploit tourists, not provide an interesting, immersive cultural expierence. The souvenirs sold at the first 'toilet break' stop were a hundred times more expensive than the same souvenirs sold by the market vendors at Chichen Itza, just twenty minutes away! You won’t even have the time to shop at Chichen Itza and support the local sellers because most of the time is already spent at that aforementioned overpriced souvenir shop. We also learned after returning from the excursion that there is a museum at Chichen Itza that houses many Mayan artifacts. Why this wasn’t mentioned or included in the tour itinerary, I do not know. Im guessing because it would offer less opportunities to rip off tourits. The bus is air-conditoned but leg room is tight. If you are tall you will struggle. They do offer you one bottle of water when you get to Chichen Itza. The tour guides can be informative when they want to be, however they mostly blather the entire bus journey which gets irritating. At one point they spent five mintues educating us on how to apply suncream. This review may come across harsh, but we are well travelled and have went on many excursions. This was by far the worse. Despite the negatives mentioned, Chichen Itza was magnificent and the town of Valldolid was beautiful.

More about souvenirs than culture. - Unfortunately, this trip is more about trying to sell you souvenirs than experiencing Chichen itza and the cenote. You will spend more time at an overly expensive tourist shop than at the cenote. The cenote is a lovely place, but you only get 45 minutes here, which includes time to eat the food. Drinks cost extra, $5 a small beer or water. Chichen itza itself is surrounded by market stalls selling the same things and vendors shouting out loudly as you pass by. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. My advice would be to look for a company that does smaller groups and takes to direct to Chichen itza and then to a cenote. If you are staying all-inclusive, ask reception the night before for a packed lunch to take with you and get plenty of water to take. Also, an umbrella is a must. $5 to rent at the entrance or ask your hotel to borrow one for free

Visit at your own risk!!! - The places we visited were amazing but the tour lied said they would pick me up at my hotel and then a couple days before said they were gonna pick us up 6 miles away from our hotel so we had to pay for a taxi then they dropped us off at the same location after our 12 hour tour. We had to walk 6 miles in the dark to our resort despite watching the tour bus drive in the direction of our hotel; we couldn’t find any taxis at our drop off location. a majority of the tour they were pushy about us buying stuff so it felt like a lot of pressure. I would go on a private tour next time since it was a little scary since they were on such a tight schedule they said that they would leave us. During the cenote tour 2 passengers had their personal items stolen from a secure locker. Our group donated some money for them to take a taxi cab so they could meet us at the last location after they dealt with the police. we don’t know what happened to those passengers since we left them. Ironically the tour guide mentioned that he hoped that everyone felt safe during our tour.

Entirely misleading and unforgettably terrible tour! - Overly misleading about the duration of the tour. Details on the website say 4 to 6 (mind you, pick up time is 7 a.m.) hours. We originally thought great, that leaves us most of the afternoon and evening to still enjoy our second to last day at the resort or doing something else. Total BS, the trip was 14+ hours by the time we were dropped off at our resort. The drive was miserable on a bus with 50+ passengers and screaming babies and little kids running up and down the isle. Nothing in the details said you will be on a tour bus and definitley nothing about "this can last 14 hours". We would have never signed up this. First stop was a small souvenir shop about 2 hours away. Total waste of time. The pyramid was cool to see, just becuase of the history but you don't need 3 hours to see it. It can be done in an hour or even less. The Cenotes was what we really wanted to see (and if we do it again, we'll do a private ride for that). It was already after 5 p.m. and they give you 1 hour to enjoy the Cenotes. We get done with the Cenotes and we've traveling for about an hour maybe a bit longer; we're thinking ok on our way back. We are driving through a small town and the driver says, "last stop"......... we just looked at each other and said WTF and laughed with misrey. Overall, the entire trip is horrible time management and logistics. The website needs to be honest how long this trip is as well as ALL THE DETAILS. We wasted a beautifl weather Saturday for 14 hours of crap. Thank goodnees the places had alcohol (with the exception of mayan pyramid) or we would of lost our minds. I owe it to my ride or die.......she kept me sane LOL.

Five Hour Drive Back - To be clear the issue with this tour is not the content or the guides but rather the logistics of it. It took almost five hours to get from the last stop on the tour back to our hotel. That’s almost as long as it’s projected to take to fly across the continent home! The length made it so I was unable to make my dinner reservation. Based on the traffic and Google map estimations the trip could’ve been done in an hour and forty five minutes. I’m unsure who made the decision to have everyone go to Tulum and then split everyone off to make it “more efficient” but that choice (which we were never directly informed of) easily doubled the length of the transportation back. If you’re staying in the Cancun area be very wary of trusting this tour company to get you back in any timely manner. If what happened to my party is standard procedure you too could be stuck in a car for almost five hours. It did not take as long to get to the first site and it is absolutely baffling that it could end up like it did.
