Disappointing - not the same show it once was - When we arrived we were left waiting in the ticket area for 45 minutes, no where to get a drink until you are allowed through the gates. Squashed into the tiniest and most uncomfortable seats on the boat, and were the last ones served with drinks. Straight away the server asked for a tip. Couldn’t understand the majority of what was being said over the microphone to be able to join in with the chanting etc, last ones to be taken up for our food which meant that we were left eating in the dark! After tipping waiter to get drinks all night, tip box was brought to everyone’s seat by ‘Jack sparrow’ making you feel obliged to tip, then again when you get off the boat. A very expensive and unenjoyable evening. Have previously done this trip a few times and absolutely loved it- so disappointing to see it has gone downhill so much! Of all the trips we have done on this holiday, unfortunately this is the worst. Save your money and do something else.

Do t do it - So excited to do this trip as we did it 7 years ago and it was amazing, it has changed so much since then, pushed for tips constantly by our waiter he asked us for tips 3 times, then we were asked for tips for the box to be shared and then again when we got off boat, we always tip and really dont mind but we were harrassed for tips from our waiter who was not the best at his job i think we got 3 drinks while on the boat and they were not the ones we asked for waste of money

Husband said it was the worst experience of his life - Very overrated, no room to move had to more or less stand or sit in one spot of tried to move was told to stay still. Was told at start of the show to leave tipping till end when for of the boat or semt box round. Some waiters were quite rude and kept coming up asking you for there tips and service was very poor. While waiting for your food was slapped on your plate your dinner along with your dessert. Even captain and at of show came and asked if you had put a top in the box which think was quite rude. A experience I wouldn't revisit

Robbing pirates, they definitely make you walk the plank - Over priced money maker, it’s a waste of money. First they try and squeeze as many as they can on board and over crowd the deck. When they do start the event if you only speak English you will not have a clue what’s happening. They forget to translate what’s happening in English and you’re sat there guessing. Every time we ordered drinks they can came back with something else so in the end we gave up. It cost us $270 for a family of 3, plus docking tax of $60 ($20 each) which TUI never tell you until you check the ticket they email you. Food wasn’t nice, rushed so everyone can eat. No where to eat, people had their food on their knee. They come round with the tip box and hold it under you nose until you put something in and as soon as the tip box as gone that’s when the staff start begging for tips. All it is, is a money maker as soon as you step foot on the ship, VIP upgrades, dock tax, $25 photos, swords for kids, tip box, begging staff. The fireworks show was a waste of time, 2 fireworks got set off( I’ve had better fireworks with a sparkler in my garden) if you’re not on the right side you don’t see anything. When the final show does start make sure your next to the toilet, there was on old man on the boat that needed the toilet and the staff said no he couldn’t go, so he went, there on the deck next to the ships exit. The only person that deserved a tip was the coach driver taking us Bach to the hotel. I will also letting TUI know they shouldn’t be selling this trip to holiday makers.

Poor management - The manager on shift was rude said I could not board because at the moment she spoke with me said I was intoxicated when I have a speech impairment Because of that denied entry to my entire family of 5. 2:adults 3 children with out no compassion of the fact that we had needed to reschedule already because of hurricane beryl I had asked for a refund since this was weather related and they refused. I let her know to show some time of compassion and understanding and she denied let her know I was there was there with my family that it is wasn't 1st time coming on the pirate ship I had already gone more than 5 times but because of her she said I still could not board the ship and refused service I had already paid for months in advance. In front of more than 20 people this is the 1st time I have felt humiliated every iny life on my birthday weekend having to tell my 6 year daughter I was sorry but the people in Capiton hook have no manners on how to deal with guest and pqid customers. Plenty of other activities to do in Cancun avoid the pirate ship. management has no compassion and no understanding they do not care about you and your family. they refused to give me a refunded on weather conditions on top pf that
