A very entertaining and... - A very entertaining and enriching experience. Our guide was the best, with lots of stories to tell about both the roots of Mexican culture, the area and of course the food. 10/10 will definitely recommend.

Highly Recommended Food Tour - We had a great food tour with Enriquez today starting at a place in Market 28. We have 7 stops in all and covered a lot of the best of Mexican food. Favourites were the Salbutes and Conchiniti pibil and the magic ‘black sauce’!!

Eat like the locals! - Eating With Carmen Food Tour - Cancun What a great food tour! Our guide, Dreyken, met us at the appointed time on a rainy morning. We had decided not to cancel despite the weather and are so glad he didn't. The rain lessened and Dreyken adjusted the itinerary to avoid flooded streets. He is a fantastic young man, very personable and knowledgeable of the food of Yucatan and Cancun. All of our stops were at places frequented by locals, not a tourist in sight. And the food was delicious. Two of the dishes were fantastic and my only regret was not remembering their names. (I suggest you take photos and ask your guide to write a list of the dishes.) Only one was not to our liking. But tastes differ, and the whole purpose was to experience food that you wouldn't likely try at a resort hotel. And calling our desert a popsicle is an understatement. These are dozens of flavors of ice cream and other frozen treats on a stick. Gelato is available too. The places we stopped at were clean and I never had any health concerns. We were always offered several options from the menu and variations of each. We usually followed Dreyken's suggestions. Drinks were always provided and at one stop we had a delicious shake and at another a rice-based drink. An unexpected bonus, the result of the weather, is that the two of us ended up with a private tour. This provided us the opportunity to talk with Dreyken about his self, and us, on a variety of subjects. For us, it included Norse mythology. If you are lucky enough to take this food tour and meet Dreyken, you'll have a great experience. A couple notes: This is a food tour, and though you can order alcohol, it is not a booze tour. Make sure you give your taxi driver the name of the supermarket in Mercado 28, if it is your meeting point. Mercado 28 is the name of the neighborhood, and if you are not specific, you might be dropped off a few minutes away from the supermarket.

Panuchos! - Great food tour! Dreyken, our guide was amazing and the stops and food were exactly what we were looking for. Foods that we may not otherwise try as tourist. The panuchos were the best bite during our stay. Definitely do this tour if you want to explore Cancun, try Mexican food other than tacos! We will be looking out for you, Dreyken!

Good local food, but no art? - Interesting walk around a Cancun market and good to try some truly local dishes, but didn't get to see any art, which was disappointing given how the trip is billed.
