Maximize your experience with a small group of up to 13 passengers in a comfortable, climate-controlled van.
- DETOURS American West is not responsible for road or viewing conditions due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
- Arizona state law requires children under 8 years to have either a child seat or booster. Child seats are not provided, please bring your own and you must notify supplier ahead of time.
- Minimum age is 3 years and you must notify supplier ahead of time of any small children and that you will provide car seats.
- Wheelchairs or walkers that fold up are acceptable on tour - you must notify tour supplier ahead of time
- You must let the supplier know if there are any mobility concerns that they should be aware of.
- There is NOT a restroom on the van. Comfort stops are made throughout the day.
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- FOR LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: Any tours booked after 7:00PM Arizona time the night before the tour date might not be confirmed. You will likely have to meet at another hotel for pick up. Our office will contact you prior to 6:00am on the tour date.

It was a very good tour.... - It was a very good tour. Han has enough knowledge about the area. We enjoyed a lot. Only problem was 3 hours are so long for free time in Sedona

A must do in Phoenix/Scottsdale area - One of the must do tours when in Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Booking online on the Detours was easy and the tour was very well explained. Pickup was included in the tour price but unfortunately downtown Phoenix hotels were not included in the list. We had to travel to a hotel close by to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for pickup. From there everything about the tour went smoothly. Our guide Hyun was very entertaining and explained every place well. It was a cold day in January and so the first couple of sites that we visited were very cold to stay outside. But as soon as the sun came up, it was much warmer and better to visit the remaining sites. You get 3 hours in Sedona after the visit to the main sightseeing sites. But we had booked the Pink Jeep tour as well as part of our package. Hence we did that as well for 1.5 hours and our time in Sedona was reduced. All in all it was a fun day with lots to see and do.

Great Day Trip to the Vortex - This trip was a great deal of fun. It was nice to relax and be driven to sedona and back and see the scenery. Han was a lovely tour guide whose driving was impeccable and his energy was uplifting. If you're considering booking- do it. We'll worth it. 🤩

Excellent Experience in Sedona - The driver and guide Tracy was amazing, one of the best guide I've ever met. He was kind, thoughtful and passionate about Sedona. The route was very well arranged that we got to see the beautiful landscape of Sedona and also experience the unique culture. Tracy introduced a lot of stories and knowledge of Sedona on the way. He also made efforts to accommodate clients' need, we very much appreciated.
The car was luxury and comfortable!
Recommend this trip to those who are new to the area and only have short time here.

Sedona with the most perfect guide! - This tour was hands-down the perfect way to see the beauty of Sedona firsthand! From the communication at the time of booking, the prompt arrival time at our pickup point, and our knowledgeable guide, Mark (love him! He was so knowledgeable and friendly and just a joy to be around :)
This is a great day trip and a perfect way to get out of the city. Would definitely book again with this company

Beautiful scenery great guide - Check the weather and dress appropriately. We had rain, snow and sleet through parts of the trip but didn't affect the good time we had. Han was a wonderful tour guide and had great background and stories. Adjusted our trip to maximize the experience due to the weather conditions. Glad we had plenty of time to explore Sedona.

Arizona Vacation “from negative to Positive “ - This was our first ever trip to enjoy Sedona, Arizona but it did not start the right way… We booked this trip with Detour American West through TripAdvisor.com. Everything was set time, date and location for pick for the tour was set but sometimes things do happen beyond you control… the day of the tour we allowed lots of time (more than an hour before pick up time and the location of pick up is around 14 minutes from us) to be on the pick up location but Uber ride unfortunately cancelled 4-5 time on us.. we communicated to the driver/tour guide that we are not making it to the pick up location. We were advised to call someone on Detours American West to see if we can reschedule to another date. I took the chance of looking on the TripAdvisor another date that we could possibly reschedule ; was still available, but of course I did not proceed to book on that available date so as not to make things complicated by paying twice. Later that morning we called and reach out to someone at Detours American West as the office opened, we spoke to a gentleman and explained our dilemma. We were told right away that since we did not make it to pick up location that day that we’ll be losing our reservation money… I told him I checked earlier that date we want to reschedule if possible is allowing me to book it…. He said will email and check with his boss…., Few minute later we received an Email from the same gentleman telling us we can’t reschedule to another date because we missed the 48 hours to cancel . We lost our reservation money”; it was like “highway robbery “……We did not allow this to ruin our vacation here in Arizona…we booked with another refutable and accommodating tour company and “ We had fun”
