Senate House - The 18th century Senate House was until recently the main meeting place for the University. Today it is where the students receive their degrees. It forms part of an historic core, along with Great St Mary’s Church and Gonville and Caius College.

University of Cambridge - Please note that, with the exception of King’s College Chapel, the colleges close to the public during the examination period which runs from late April to mid-June every year. The dates of closures vary from college to college. In 2019 St. John’s College will be closed to groups from 14 May to 28 June and closed to the public from 16-28 June. Queens’ College will be closed from 22 April to 14 June.

Great St Mary’s Church (Church of England) - Great St Mary’s is a parish church and the University church. When students first arrived in Cambridge in the 13th century they used Great St Mary’s for their meetings and teaching.

The Round Church Visitor Centre - The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is generally known as “the Round church’, because of its shape. It was built around 1130, and is one of the few remaining Norman structures in Cambridge.
