There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats - Took a punt for a self-guided 3 hours to have a picnic at Grantchester Meadow. Benefited from a concessions rate and enjoyed an excellent trip. We set off before the end of the morning cut-off on a Saturday, had a quiet and calm punt through the countryside, a leisurely picnic and an easy return (slightly busier river). As I am a Cambridge resident inviting friends from London, I was proud to give them a great experience in my hometown. Scudamores provided me plenty of useful information when I called them a week in advance (spoke with Gift - she was great). Everything about the punt and equipment was as expected, including a good quality life-jacket for a 3 1/2 yearold in our group.

Great staff and easy access to the main river cam beauties. - Friendly and helpful staff made the trip my girlfriend and I took on a self-tour boat service. 100% recommended and great value for the experience on a sunny day in Cambridge.

Fun in Cambridge ! - We visited Cambridge today with our 12 year old son and went on a punting boat trip with Scudamores Punting Company. We embarked on our tour at Quayside and our tour guide was Tom M. We had a fantastic time. The boat was spacious and comfortable and the whole ride down the river was very peaceful and relaxing. Tom M was the best tour guide, extremely informative, funny, entertaining and very patient with all of our questions - and he had a detailed answer for each one ! Our son really enjoyed the tour and was inspired by the University and all of its history ! Would definitely recommend !! Thank you again. Priya & family.

Great, informative trip. Worth the cost - Shared punt for a 45 min tour up The Cam past the university college buildings. Nick our guide was very knowledgable and entertaining. Really good informative tour. Seems on the pricey side but well worth it.

Great trip - Turned up ad-hoc for a punting trip - managed to haggle on the price as we were early and it was quiet being end of March. Our guide Flav was fab - very friendly and humerous. The trip was about 45 minutes - we had blankets which was great as it was chilly. Flav was knowledgeable about the colleges and made the trip enjoyable. Would thoroughly recommend Scudamores - the punts were comfy cleans and had blankets - which in March were appreciated!

Punting ride - The punting tour is a unique experience to enjoy incredible views of the universities, their gardens, pass under the bridges and enjoy the tranquillity on the banks of the River. The super comfortable and equipped boats and our guide (Finn) was extremely friendly, friendly and accompanied the ride with information, stories, anecdotes and a lot of humor. I would definitely repeat it again! Excellent service and the golden clasp for a day in Cambridge!

Punting On The Cam - Very good trip. Informative & friendly punter Finn. Only downside was the pricing. Feel there should be one price for all rather than bartering before booking!

Expensive experience - It was a nice experience for my husband and our two kids but he paid £93 for one adult and two kids. He was not offered £81 for a group of 3 and the other punting company is charging £22 per adult and £12 per kid. Although the experience was good, it felt like a rip off once we saw the other company’s offers.
