Outstanding Life Experience - Oh my God - where do I start! 24 hrs later and I’m still buzzing - hard to believe we had such an epic life experience. As a Tassie local, I’d had this trip on my bucket list for at least 20 years and finally got to tick it off yesterday. We had really high expectations after reading the description of the trip, but our expectations were hugely exceeded. Michael, our pilot was really friendly, helpful and obviously an experienced professional - our flights (and landings) were first class. Callum, our guide, made the day so enjoyable. I’ve travelled the world over 45 years and I don’t think I’ve ever met a more knowledgeable, passionate and lovely guide. He knows every inch of the Southwest coast and told stories all day that immersed us in the history, geology and importance of this stunning and unique treasure land. The morning tea was perfect and served in a very special place - I won’t ruin the surprise. Our gourmet lunch on a crazy spectacular beach (again I won’t divulge the location) was extraordinary - delicious Tassie produce and wine served in the most idyllic location. I can’t believe I haven’t done this trip before now - it was simply outstanding. Thanks to everyone at Par Avion for creating this magical experience - we can’t wait to do the West Coast trip now!

Great way to experience the Southwest Tasmanian wilderness - We did an amazing tour to Melaleuca and Bathurst Harbour in the Southwest National Park with Par Avion on Christmas Day. The pilots clearly love their jobs, not just flying us safely from Hobart and back again, but also acting as boat driver, waiter, bush expert and tour guide. Highly recommended!

Not to be missed - Absolutely fantastic day. This is such a special part of Tasmania that is not accessible to most people so the flight and boat tour is a great opportunity to see magnificent wilderness from the air and water . The pilot’s commentary was informative and the guide, Greg, related so much history and anecdotes about this south west region. Enjoying Tasmanian refreshments sitting in a pristine wilderness is so special . Well done Par Avion ; world class !

You must experience this once in a lifetime journey to the magnificent SW Tasmania Wilderness. - The trip was postponed some days due to heavy weather down South so we were excited when we finally flew. Met our very experienced guide Greg in the terminal and he explained the day's events really well. It was small aircraft taking only five of us and our excellent pilot Callum down the East Coast with Callum giving us a bit of history and geography on the way. After landing at Melaleuca Greg showed us around and then took us on an extended tour of Bathurst Harbour on one of their ten-seater covered boats, so the sightseeing was spectacular. We had been issued with Par Avion big heavy padded battery-heated jackets (on Greg's recommendation before going even though we had our own jackets etc.) so the odd splash of sea water and cold wind from the strong winds persisting did not fuss us. Morning tea at one site and lunch another historic homestead were highlights with Greg regaling us with stories and history from his decades of guiding in the area. The trip back to Hobart via the direct route from Melaleuca experienced some rain showers but was also spectacular scenery and magnificent mountain ranges. Again, Callum talked us through the trip and the geography.

A memorable and spectacular experience. - A truly memorable experience. We had a beautifully smooth flight, and our pilot and co-pilot were knowledgeable, professional and polite, and provided a lot of interesting information. Our boat ride took us along beautiful waterways, past a sea-eagle nest and interesting geological formations. Mid-morning tea and lunch were both delicious and we had these on two different and lovely beaches. The flight back over the spectacular Arthur Range and seeing Federation Peak was the highlight for me.

If it feels like a scam, is it a scam? - Flight was cancelled (4 Nov 2024). No notice as I couldn't take a call while driving to the airport. No message left. NO REFUND. now Flight Booker are saying they have no record although I have an email from them with confirmation of payment.
