- Lake Louise - Lake Louise is a stunning glacial lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. It is named in honor of Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and wife of the Marquess of Lorne, who served as the Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883. The lake’s striking turquoise color is due to rock flour carried into the lake by meltwater from the surrounding glaciers. Covering an area of 0.8 km², Lake Louise drains through the 3 km long Louise Creek into the Bow River. Nearby attractions include Moraine Lake and Lake Agnes.
- Moraine Lake - Note: Moraine Lake is accessible after June 1st. The waters of Moraine Lake appear as if they have been poured directly from the heavens into the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The majestic mountains encircle the lake’s deep blue surface in a breathtaking formation crafted by nature. Boulders, seemingly placed by giants, create miniature mountains near the lakeshore. Visitors are invited to explore the trails that weave among the rocks and extend to alpine meadows and sparkling lakes.
With new visitation restrictions in place for Summer 2023, joining this small group tour is the best way to ensure a visit to Moraine Lake.
- Johnston Canyon - Note: After June 1st, this attraction will be replaced by Moraine Lake. Johnston Creek begins north of Castle Mountain in a glacial valley southwest of Badger Pass. The creek flows through a gorge known as Johnston Canyon. As it approaches the Bow River, the creek travels through a large canyon formed by thousands of years of erosion. The creek has carved through limestone rock to create sheer canyon walls, waterfalls, tunnels, and pools.
