Amzing and very accomodating - Karim the dream was great, he took us around all the key places even though we signed up last minute and for an afternoon tour. He was extremly knowledgable, he is a historian and made us feel very safe the entire time. The driver Vin Diesel was also amazing.

Unforgettable and emotional experience - A tour full of stories, emotions, and fascinating facts. Our guide, Simone, gave us so much information — it made everything even more interesting. Garbage City and the Cave Church are definitely worth seeing.

Wonderful knowledge filled tour - Kareem was excellent and very knowledgeable. The details were very much appreciated by us. As a long time Middle East resident and history aficionado I was surprised and pleased about his comprehensive knowledge of Islamic, Christian and Jewish culture and history in Cairo.

The Coptic Quarter tour... - The Coptic Quarter tour in Cairo was visually stunning and intellectually fascinating. The Hanging Church, built on the Babylon Fortress, is architecturally interesting with its “boat” structure. Another highlight was the Ben Ezra Synagogue with its religious history of being a sanctuary for the Holy Family. Our local guide, Ehab Guid, was very knowledgeable and skillfully guided us through the narrow streets as well as provided an excellent understanding of the Christian and multicultural history Egypt. I highly recommend.

A short-term tour of historic Cairo - That was a great half-day tour with Selvia. We felt very comfortable, she has a broad historical knowledge and speaks very good English. We can highly recommend them.

Mismanaged tour, misleading stops, and unreliable narration - I usually avoid writing negative reviews. I tend to be demanding only in one respect: the quality and accuracy of narration. Comfort, logistics, even minor issues I can overlook. In this case, however, the experience was poor enough to justify an exception. It was also somewhat ironic that after this tour, the guide, Ehad, followed up asking me to “write a review” to help him get more work. There were three main issues: 1. Poor organization I booked the tour for 8:00 am. The next day, I received a notification from Viator that the agency had “accepted” a reschedule to 8:30 am, which I never requested. A few hours later, the agency told me to ignore that. On the day of the tour, I was ready at 8:00 am. The car arrived 10 minutes late. We then spent another 10 minutes picking up Ehad, followed by a short drive to the first stop, which turned out to be closed until 9:00 am. So we waited. When I asked how this was possible, Ehad said he was “just a guide” and not responsible for bookings. The time slot, however, comes directly from the agency’s own system. This is basic coordination, and it clearly failed. 2. Misrepresentation of the itinerary The tour advertised an “ancient medicine demonstration” and a “bazaar.” The “ancient medicine” stop was simply a perfume shop, with no attempt to present it as anything else. The “bazaar” turned out to be a souvenir store on the first floor of a multi-storey building. Tourist shopping stops are normal. Mislabeling them this blatantly is not. 3. Aggressive and defensive customer handling Instead of acknowledging obvious issues, Ehad repeatedly suggested that it was my fault for selecting an 8:00 am slot. When I raised concerns, he called the agency, and we spoke with them directly. Their response was entirely defensive, particularly regarding the booking time, and mirrored the same line: that the issue somehow originated from my selection, rather than their scheduling. There was no apology, no attempt to resolve anything, only deflection. At the same time, I was repeatedly asked throughout the tour whether I had complaints, which felt less like service and more like pressure. Additional concerns The tour itself was thin. The full program was completed in about 2.5 hours, despite being sold as a 4-hour experience. The only way to stretch it would be to linger in the souvenir store. More importantly, the narration was unreliable. A fresco described as “Roman” was in fact centuries later. A 19th-century mosque was presented as “purely Ottoman,” ignoring its well-documented European influences. The clock gifted by King Louis Philippe of France (who ruled in the 19th century) was attributed to “Louis VI,” a monarch who ruled in the early 12th century. These are not nuanced debates, but basic historical errors. At the end, I asked to be dropped near Giza instead of my hotel. Despite the late start and early finish, this was refused unless I paid extra. Overall Not recommended. If accuracy and straightforwardness matter to you, you will be better off arranging a driver independently or simply using Uber.

Tour cancelled - For 2 hours the guide was very nice. But then she took us to a perfumery and told us that the tour was over, even though we had booked for 4 hours.
