Cairo - Day 1: Arrival in Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, a tour manager from Sun Pyramids Tours will greet and assist you. You will then be escorted to your hotel in Cairo in a comfortable, air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, the tour manager will facilitate a smooth check-in and review your private budget vacation itinerary with you, confirming pick-up times for your tours. Overnight stay in Cairo.

Cairo Sightseeing – Train to Aswan

Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Cairo before checking out. Your personal tour guide will then accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and the Valley Temple facing the great statue.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Enjoy lunch at a high-quality local restaurant, then proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum.

Coptic Cairo - Continue your tour to Coptic Cairo to explore the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Hanging Church.

Giza - You will be transferred to the Giza train station to board the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. Overnight in your compartment.

Aswan Tours

Aswan High Dam - Upon arrival at the Aswan train station, a Sun Pyramids Tours representative will meet and assist you, transferring you to your Nile River boat. You will then be guided to visit the renowned High Dam.

Temple of Philae - Visit the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor.

Unfinished Obelisk - Explore the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the ancient Egyptian stone quarries, the Unfinished Obelisk. Overnight in Aswan.

Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Temple of Kom Ombo - In the morning, enjoy sailing to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, visit the Temple shared by the gods Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo.

Temple of Horus - Return to your Nile boat to sail to Edfu, with lunch on board. Afterwards, visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, the Horus Temple in Edfu. Enjoy afternoon tea while sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Luxor Tours

Valley of the Kings - Early in the morning, sail to Luxor. Disembark from your cruise to visit the West Bank of Luxor, including an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, the Valley of the Kings.

Temple of Hatshepsut - Visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut around the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari.

Colossi of Memnon - See the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the Nile Cruise. Overnight in Luxor.

Luxor – Train to Cairo

Temple of Karnak - Accompanied by your tour guide, visit the Karnak and Luxor temples on the East Bank of Luxor.

Luxor Temple - Later, you will be transferred to the Luxor train station to board the sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served on board the sleeper train.

Cairo Optional Excursions

Step Pyramid of Djoser - Enjoy breakfast aboard the sleeper train before arriving at the Giza train station, where a Sun Pyramids Tours representative will meet and assist you, transferring you to your hotel for leisure time (you will check into your room as early as possible). Optional excursions in Cairo include visiting the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis. Overnight stay at your hotel in Cairo.

Cairo – Departure

Cairo International Airport - Enjoy free time before your flight. Check out and then be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
