After picking up from your hotel you will be driven through the streets of Cairo to the beginning of Al Muizz street. Entering from one of its main gates Bab El Fotouh you will walk through this open air museum which is approximately one kilometre long. Many monuments including mosques, sabeel’s (water serving plass for passers by) and kuttabs the traditional schools at that time. Traditional baths and Islamic old Cairo gates like Bab El Fotouh, Bab El Nasr and Bab Zeweila. The tour then takes you to Khan El Khalili Bazaar which is located in the alley ways stemming from Al Muizz street.

Great - We had a great walking tour of Islamic Cairo with our guide, Hazem. He was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights into the city’s history and culture. The tour gave us a much deeper appreciation of Cairo’s rich heritage. Overall it was a good experience and worth it if you want to learn more about the history of Cairo.

Wonderful day at Khan el khalili and El moez streer - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our tour of Islamic Cairo and Khan El Khalili Bazaar with Zezo was absolutely wonderful. He brought the history, architecture, and culture of the old city to life with his deep knowledge and engaging storytelling. Walking through the mosques, narrow streets, and vibrant market stalls felt like stepping back in time, and he made sure we understood the significance of everything we saw.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show us this fascinating part of Cairo. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a truly rich and memorable experience!

Meeting Egypt at night - Ghada is amazing, she was just like a mom!! She told me a lot about the slamic history, about the buildings and about Egyptian culture. When buying, she helped me with the best spots, stores, prices and quality. She’s wonderful!!

ElMoez street with intersting building and important Mosques Unesco Heritage - Visited ElMoez street with many shop and Mosque and building Unesco heritage.
The visited mosque are: ElHakim the oldest, AlAkmar the smallest, AlAzhar the more beautiful and biggest.

Amazing afternoon tour! - Hosni was our tour guide. We had an amazing look into the daily life of an Egyptian. We visited the Al-Azhar Mosque and it was an enlightening experience. We were escorted through the entire market place. He took us to the shops with the best prices, as well as an authentic Egyptian cafe.

A walking tour - Thank you, Zizou, for the fantastic tour of the Islamic area in Cairo! He is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging to listen to. We also visited a jewelry shop with great prices. Additionally, he’s a good photographer.

Insightful Walk Through Islamic Cairo - This walking tour through Islamic Cairo was made exceptional by our guide, who truly understood the local culture and history, offering insights that made the experience much richer.
I recommend saving the visit to Khan el-Khalili for last, as it gives you more time to explore the market without feeling rushed. A great way to dive into Cairo’s history and vibrant culture!
