Great street with wonderful mosques - We had an Uber drop us off at the Bab-al-Fouton gates and strolled down the street. It was a busy street with markets and amazing mosques. The mosques were enjoyable. We didn't visit all of them as some charged to get into. Incredible sights though

The real Cairo! - Located in Islamic Cairo, El Moez Street is very interesting to visit. There, tourists mix with locals in a frenetic back and forth. It's a pleasant experience. If you're in the region, it's worth getting to know.

El Moez Street: Walking into the rich history of Islamic Cairo. - Islamic Cairo is a sprawling area in heart of the city that could take days to explore; but if you don't have the luxury of time, I recommend taking a walk down the winding, narrow and very vibrant “El Moez” … end it by a nice kebab meal in the neighborhood or, depending on the time of the day, the Tanoora [colorful skirts] show. El Moez is well known and central, so no problem getting there. The street itself is pedestrian, so you will be dropped off at one of its ends. There are guided tours, and there on-your-own tours, which I believe are better. Once you’re there, just start walking, mingle with the environment and make sure you do these 5 stops… at least: 1. Sabeel Abdel Rahman – 2. Khan El Khalili – 3. Beit El Seheimy museum – 4. Sultan Barqouq mosque and school – 5. Khayameia Heritage –

Not your typical bazaar type street - Mode street is the oldest street in Egypt. Great place to stroll past the ancient minarets, domes an bazaars. It’s a densely packed neighborhood, which had locals and tourists mingling in the street. The bazaars are not your typical tourist bazaars and a unique experience. The locals were so friendly and there were a lot of children running around and interacting with us. We really enjoyed our time here. They have some good local spots to try typical Egyptian food.

Interesting - You can see the egyptian life, blend in the culture of the people here. Nice arhitecture on the mosques and some buildings. but also dirt and noise, like in all Cairo.
