  • Aswan - You will arrive in Aswan at 6:30 am, where our guide will meet you at the designated location holding a sign with your name.     To preserve these extraordinary monuments from the rising waters caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam, a joint effort between the Egyptian government and UNESCO was undertaken. This endeavor successfully relocated the temples to higher ground between 1964 and 1968, ensuring their protection for future generations.
    The Temple of Ramses II, often referred to as the Great Temple of Abu Simbel or the Sun Temple of Ramses II, is dedicated not only to the pharaoh himself but also to the universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, and Amun-Re. This temple symbolizes Ramses II’s divine and temporal power, emphasizing his role as a deity among mortals.

  • Temple of Nefertari - Nefertari Meritmut, the Great Royal Wife of Ramesses II, holds a significant place in ancient Egyptian history as one of its most esteemed queens. Her name, Nefertari, translates to ‘beautiful companion’, while Meritmut signifies ‘Beloved of Mut’, highlighting her esteemed status.
    She is renowned alongside other iconic Egyptian queens like Cleopatra, Nefertiti, and Hatshepsut, despite not being known to have ruled independently.
