Very knowledgeable tour/guide - Lofty Wessman, my tour guide, from Egypt Tailor Made, gave me an excellent city tour and was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. She was also flexible about what we could see and do.

Highly recommmend! - Really great tour with Heba. They connected with me via WhatsApp and provided the details on our itinerary a few days beforehand. Heba and our driver were very prompt and responsive. Note that this trip does not go to Coptic Cairo, but it does include the cave church for Coptic Christians. The itinerary is well stated and outlined, but wanted to be clear due to the title. In terms of duration, they really cater to your pacing. My husband and I are very quick and not religious, therefore this tour about 3 1/2 hours, but it could really span the full day depending on how large your group is and at what pace you’d like to see the sites. We enjoyed this tour so much that we are looking into booking additional tours with them for Luxor. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour of Cairo. - Fantastic Tour of Cairo with Sabry & Mustafa! We had an incredible day exploring the Citadel, Coptic Cairo, and the Khan el Khalili market. Our guide, Sabry, was absolutely amazing – his explanations and descriptions were like storytelling, bringing each site to life in such a memorable way. He made history feel engaging and alive, not just a list of facts. Our driver, Mustafa, was equally impressive. He was polite, courteous, and navigated Cairo’s busy roads with ease, allowing us to sit back and enjoy the experience without any stress. Having a private guide and driver made all the difference – it was comfortable, efficient, and worth every penny. We can’t recommend Sabry and Mustafa highly enough if you want to see Cairo at its best.

Excellent guide, authentic experience - This was our second tour of Cairo with the same team of Sabry and Mohammed as guide and driver. Both were excellent. Especially Sabry as the guide. We got an engaging and thorough historical and factual accounts but Sabry also made the Islamic culture relatable and we had a glimpse of the rich history and personal values that was even more important. Would highly recommend.

Avoid Egypt Tailor Made - Bags left in the van were rifled when we visited the Citadel and again when whilst at the Church. A necklace disappeared. Driver, claimed not to have left the van. Our only conclusion was that he had to have been the one to go through the bags and taken it, zips and contents moved in three bags. Daughter’s jewel box she had hidden at the bottom of her bag was on the top…son’s necklace in zip pocket there after Citadel, gone after church. Violation ruined our two day trip to Cairo. First day with different tour agent was excellent. Our mistake we think was letting them know they didn’t need to return us to the hotel because we were heading to the airport…no time to make a fuss. Also think the driver/ guide not happy at our lack of purchase and their 0 commission when taken to a papyrus place (not part of the tour!) Beware stops at papyrus, oil and jewellery places, it isn’t for your good experience that they do it!!! We didn’t take much with us but the necklace was sentimental. And Egypt Tailor Made has the gall to offer tat necklace from the market and then ask for a 5 star review. We should have gone to the police but felt very vulnerable and the tour guide took our photo on his phone at the end leaving us feeling very uneasy. Awful experience. Only writing review to warn others to be aware in general. Avoid Egypt Tailor Made would be our advice.

Avoid Tailor Made Egypt tour operator - We sadly cannot recommend Tailor Made Egypt for a tour of Egypt and would warn other la to actively avoid them. Whilst we have no complaints about the guide, the bags we left in the private hire van taking us around were rifled after each of our stops and a necklace was taken on the second go through. We know because after the zip moved after the first stop (Citadel) and we checked it was there. The second time (whilst in the Cave Church) it had gone. We were on our way back to the airport so had everything with us and whilst we purposefully didn’t pack much for our trip to Cairo from Sharm, my son did have a necklace and pendant we’d bought for him, so sentimental. The violation was quite frankly disgusting. And we were 100% certain it happened because zips and contents of bags moved. Daughter’s small jewel box also moved from the bottom of her bag to the top. We raised it with the guide who said it had never happened before. Hmmm, somehow we doubt that. Tailor Made fobbed us off with a tat necklace from the market thinking somehow that made it right. And then asked for a 5 star review. Unbelievable. Our guide also took a photo of us on his phone after the incident which was unethical and we asked him to delete. Sure the majority of their reviews are fake so beware. The driver was Mohammed, who swore he has neither left the van nor been into the bags. It can only have been him though. Also beware of being taken to unexpected stops like the ‘papyrus museum’ aka their mates shop for overpriced papyrus before you hit the market and realise the actual price. The shop owner was actually really nice but don’t think the guide/ driver were very pleased at 0 commission from our lack of purchase. After that we said no to the jewellery stop. (We did the oil stop the day before with another tour company also booked through Viator, and did buy but we were interested in it and had asked to go). The experience with Tailor Made Egypt was truly and awful way to end an otherwise lovely two days in Cairo.
