- Unknown Soldier Memorial - The Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Nasr City is a pyramid-shaped structure in Cairo, located in the Nasr City suburb. Designed by Egyptian artist Sami Rafie, it was built under the orders of the late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to honor Egyptians who perished in the War of Attrition and the October 1973 War. The site was also chosen as the burial place for President Sadat following his assassination in October 1981.

The street stretches from Bab El Fottoh in the north to Bab Zuwaila in the south, making it one of the largest open Islamic museums in Cairo. It is recognized as one of the largest collections of medieval architectural treasures in the Islamic world.
