Wonderful day exploring Dahshur, Sakkara, and Memphis! - We had an amazing tour of Dahshur, Sakkara, and Memphis. Both our driver and our guide were excellent — very professional and kind. Our guide told us about his time in Italy and shared so many interesting stories about the history of the sites we visited. Our package included the car, the guide, entrance tickets, and lunch. Everything was perfectly organized. The places we visited were absolutely beautiful — entering the pyramids was an unforgettable experience! Lunch was also delicious. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Egypt!

Amazing trip to Sakkara, pyramids and tombs. - This was a fantastic tour by an excellent tour guide - Sayed Mahmoud, driven by Abdel Rahman. Nothing was too much trouble and we could arrange the trip as we liked but with the benefit of great local knowledge and experience. This tour is highly recommended, especially with Sayed as tour guide and went beyond our expectations, seeing everything advertised and so much more, even presenting us with local Egyptian coffee and fresh dates. Thank you!

Driver alone option is... - Driver alone option is adequate only if one has done some background research before hand. Otherwise it will be confusing and one might miss important sites.

Saqqara was amazing. - Hisam was our guide for the day. Excellent host and extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. Honestly had an awesome time and enjoyed it more than our tour at Giza (mainly because our group was rushed and crowds and confusion etc). The Dahshur and Sakkara sites are not at all crowded and overwhelming in their size relative to the remote landscape around them. Would highly recommend you make this day trip. Info Notes for Travelers: I found the Viator descriptions and itineraries a little confusing for this trip and it seemed the other reviews only added more confusion. If you are booking ride, entry fees, lunch, and guide then literally everything there should be included. (The confirmation details didn’t make it clear so I just want to help someone who is unsure). We did pay an additional fee at the ticket office for the Serapeum in Saqqara because that was not included with general entry ticket. There should be no expectation of other fees beyond things you chose if you book this journey and our guide made that very clear. Also tip you guide and driver as that is not included.

Tremendous experience, but beware! - This was an amazing trip. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing other cities outside of Cairo. And all 3 stops are very close, you can get it done it a little over half a day. The pyramid and tomb in Saqqara were magnificent. We climbed into the pyramid in Dahshur! Would highly recommend this life-changing experience, but make sure you’re very fit- mentally and physically. After these 2, Memphis was a bit of a letdown, but we did enjoy the open-air museum, and lunch was good. But unfortunately, I have to report a disturbing incident that happened on the trip. Our guide, Afifi (sp?) was wonderful. So full of knowledge, and eager to impart it on us. It was like a crash course in Egyptian history. At our first stop, he got out to buy our tickets. I noticed a sign with the name of the city, so I told the driver I’d get out a take a quick pic. When I got back in the car about 2 minutes later, he was grinning, and my wife was blushing, I asked what happened. Turns out, he told her something along the lines of “what if I said no” to my request for the photo. And he also commented on my shirt. Now I don’t take myself so seriously that I can’t take a joke, but say it to my face, not behind my back to my wife. Later, we stopped for a photo at the red pyramid. Afifi got out to take the pic, and we could see the driver lean his seat back in the car, then lift his head to peep out of the window. Well it turns out my wife had left her bag in the back seat, and it certainly appeared he made an attempt to steal from her. I don’t want to make a false accusation, but there was no reason for him to recline his seat all the way back for a 2 minute stop. I found these two instances rude, inappropriate, and borderline criminal. We were not only guests, but paying customers, and this man, the driver, tried to take advantage of us. Again, the trip was great, Afifi was excellent, but the driver needs to be fired.
