Koalas!!! - This was a wonderful experience and the staff are clearly very careful about the quality of life for the animals! Our visit and others like ours help sustain the existence of these challenged species! Loved it!

A great place to learn something new and escape the tropical heat! - We’re Cairns locals who are in our 3rd year of annual pass membership with CaPTA group. We sure miss the Cairns Zoom & Wildlife dome but Cairns Koalas and Creatures at the pier is a welcome addition. The team are always so friendly and welcoming and always keen to answer questions. They are very patient with my inquisitive 4 year old. The new water play / science discovery set up at the front is an awesome addition!

Amazing experience made event better by Daphne!! - We were staying at the Hilton in Cairns and wanted to see if there is any place nearby that allows a photo with the Koala. To our surprise, we found this place just 8 minutes walking distance to the hotel. We walked over and were greeted by a wonderful smile of Dephne! We arrived at around 11:30 AM and the Koala photo had a schedule of 1:30 PM daily. We saw the place and were waiting on the bench when Dephne came back and said she and the staff will allow us to take a photo earlier so we won’t have to wait. They had a very slow morning and the Koalas had well rested so they made a call to allow us to take a photo earlier. Dephne and the two wonderful girls went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I highly recommend coming to this place for Koalas since this is the only place in Cairns city area where you can hold a Koala and get a photo.

Great cuddle with koalas and a break from the heat - It was my first time and I brought the family, being a local for over 15years it was special to hold a koala even if it wasn’t in the wild. The staff were so friendly and so much like family. We felt at home and the information was very accurate and presented well about koalas. The photo session with them was really great and the kids ( from 3yo to 10 ) had a blast even whilst waiting in queue for the photos.

Adorable koalas - Wonderful to see the three koalas there. The highlight was getting a photo of us hugging the koala !you can still get quite close to take photos and video of them if you don’t pay to have the photo taken. You have to pay to have your photo taken with them .

Beautiful koala picture - It is a small zoo but seeing and holding the koala and getting a beautiful picture was well worth it. The handlers were great with the koalas It was a highlight of our trip.

Fun - Great friendly staff, they are willing to explain different facts about the critters. You also have the opportunity to see koalas close up and can pay for photos with them too.

Terribly disappointing - Don't waste your time. The average living room is bigger. $60 to see one snake, one lizard and a parrot. They are more interested in additional money for a photo with the one poor manhandled koala at the back where it smells like urine. Waste of time. We thought it would take a moving morning. Literally 5 mins. Reels are basic pangea and primary school biology. Hardly educational. Don't waste your time.

Not worth the money - This place was the size off a small shop ! Limited animals and exhibitions and only worth paying if you want a picture off a koala , staff polite and cheerful but whole place very disappointing , took less than 10 mins to walk around
