Highly recommend this trip! - Well top of our to do list was obviously to do the Great Barrier Reef so I found this trip with the whole heah helmets and decided as I’ve never snorkelled this is what I wanted! When we got to the island we made our way to the dive school and got kitted out with wetsuits etc…they make it look sooo easy on tv but these things are NOT easy to get into! Then we were taken by boat to a floating pontoon with others and they explained what would happen. They were very patient and helpful every step of the way! Definitely worth doing! Photos afterwards are certainly a must get!! You can keep your wetsuits too for snorkelling afterwards if you wish..hubby did whilst I sunbathed!

A fun-filled day - The glass bottom boat and semi sub were impressive and well coordinated. Lunch was plentiful, varied and delicious. Prices for ice creams and drinks were quite reasonable. Green Island itself offered easy access to snorkelling on the reef. Good amenities there as well, The staff on board were numerous, friendly, attentive and professional. We have already recommended this tour to others..............

A beautiful excursion - Nice hike on the island, very good weather, corals are beautiful with lots of fish, however it is quite difficult to swim to them because the water is very shallow. When we went there the tide was low, so we could not swim very long

Relaxing day trip to snorkel around Green Island - Well organised trip including the glass bottom boat tour and free time to snorkel and explore the island at leisure. Buffet lunch was plentiful and a good variety. Friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the trip. Fortunately it was a calm and sunny day so we saw lots of colourful fish, coral and a few turtles.

Not worth the money - If you are after a Great Barrier Reef experience this is not the place for you. Yes we did see a turtle but so did the other 300 odd people at the same time. Food was very average and over priced. The island smelt bad and I personally feel it is very over rated and very commercial. The crocodile park was the highlight, they were professional and friendly.

You have to do it - You can't come to Australia and not go to the Great Barrier Reef. However, we could see very little from the glass bottomed boat. There had been a lot of rain over the past few days, which stirs the sand up so you mainly see murky water. We paid to add on the semi submersible, which takes you down to a couple of inches above the sea bed. Better views, but didn't see any colourful coral just brown and green sea weed and a few fish. At the end of the day all tours seem to come back on the same large boat, but we were given different boarding times. The boat was packed. We managed to get 2 seats - not together - but quite a few people had no seats

Disappointed Plus - We were really looking forward to our opportunity to visit "The Great Barrier Reef," it's iconic. The 11am boat brokedown, departed at 1140am The lunch was average, buried on the lower deck of another vessel, a few options even 1 GF serving but nothing sintilating. The snokel gear was excellent although I think it was luck, newish and from the replacement cat that took us out to Green island. The water was clear but nothing really to see as to get out further you would have to have swim a long way. The number of people that were on the Island was stunning, of coue 3-4 boat loads would cause this. It's expensive, particularly if you are a family, honestly it was a $50 deal for $150. The boat ride was the best bit. While I appreciate the environment, the weather was great but the overall value just wasn't there.

Such a waste of money - Very disappointing the place looks very run down including the pool and pool area paid $20 for cocktail in a disposable plastic cup. $28 for a seafood basket fish was something you would get out of a Cole’s fish box not even real fish.Prawn cutlet and scallop processed. Snorkelling tide was out couldnt snorkel much at all. Fitzroy island definitely a better option.
