Caen Memorial Museum, private visit - As part of our private Normandy Area visit, this Museum was "one of the must places to visit, too". It has a wider perspective that only war times,, starting from City of Caen's older history. Of course much has been dedicated to WW2 times, as Caen (occupied by nazi-germany) was important center for defenders of Atlantic Wall. Concerning second world war times, there is lot of photos, couple films (small theatre) and many equipment, goods remaining to show how they really outlooked at those times. Exhibition continue also by covering stories that tell times in west France during Cold War times (1950's). So covering many hundred's of past history, it's a remarkable and indeed in-depth stories, full. Interesting in to see how many (local) girls and boys from schools were doing some of their exercises by following & answering right points into their books,,, and learning. Recommended place to visit, minimum visit time inside, I would say is 2 hours.
