Amazing day trip from Old San Juan - Beautiful kayak trip at night- even without the bioluminescence, I loved it. The guides knew their stuff and had the trip well planned out, with glow sticks on our boats and 4 guide boats around us. They even found glowing jellyfish that they handed to us to hold! Great experience.

Our guides pointed out... - Our guides pointed out stars, brought tarps to protect from light pollution, and passed around glowing jellyfish! They were funny, friendly, good-natured, and helpful...just what you want guided to be. Highly recommend this tour and this company!

Loved it - The guides were fun and entertaining and taught us about the stars in addition to the bioluminescence! Great for families or singles.

‘Best part of PR’ quote from my son - We booked our kayaking adventure in hopes to see the bioluminescence in the lagoons. What we didn’t expect was an adventure on the way to the lagoon. It was truly and adventure we never would’ve done before but so glad we did. When we arrived to the lagoon we went under a tarp (to get total darkness) and splashed around to see the lights, when we were ready to depart back to the bay one of the guides hands my son a bioluminescent jellyfish! We all got to hold it and watch it light up as it moved around in our hands. It was something our family will forever remember.

Great guides, seamless experience, and bioluminescence was subtle but so magical!! - We had a fantastic time! The guides explained everything well, were funny and everything ran smoothly. Once we had gotten about halfway there, we could start to see the bioluminescence when you paddled or splashed your hand in the water. It was a chill pace, took about 30 mins to get into the bay and 30 minutes back. They had places to store our stuff while we were out and gave us chips and water bottles afterward and helped us rinse off with a hose. All kayaks had green glow sticks so staying with the group was easy and they had two guides paddling back and forth through the group throughout to make sure everyone was good. They caught jellyfish that kinda glowed and let us hold them! They put big tarps over our kayaks once we were out in the bay to make it darker which helped us see it even better. 10/10 experience!

A wonderful memory of our PR Trip! - Fantastic experience for families! Loved kayaking through the mangrove trees to the great bay. The bioluminescence looks like golden sparkles in the water. We did the 6:30 tour—which allowed us to kayak to the bay while there was still some skylight to enjoy the beauty. Heading back, everything was pitch black except for the lights at the ends of each kayak. You’ll get a good workout rowing, but our teens handled it fine. Many had younger kids with them (ages 8-10), and everyone seemed to enjoy the rowing. Your lower half particularly will get somewhat wet, so wear a bathing suit or nylon/travel pants. We brought water shoes, but others wore crocks or went barefoot. You can leave your sandals and valuables with the company. There isn’t any use for a cell phone or camera, but, if you do take one, consider a waterproof pouch that hangs from your neck. I recommend this highly. The bioluminescence is only a part of the fun.
