Great people - The operators for the tour were really great - very friendly and helpful. Though the bioluminescence wasn't as great as we hoped, not their fault at all, and was still a great time. Highly recommend!

FLIPANTE!!!! - An amazing experience. We did the kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay and it was magical to see how the water shone with each movement of the oars. Our guide, William, was charming: he explained everything very patiently, transmitted security and told us very interesting facts about the phenomenon and the area. You could tell he's passionate about what he does. The organization was perfect and the evening walk had a very special touch. Undoubtedly, an activity we recommend 100%! From Spain ❤️

N our monitor William was very nice and very friendly to us, which made the activity even more special. - The kayak tour of the bioluminescent bay was one of the most beautiful experiences we have ever lived. From the first moment we felt very well taken care of. William, our guide, made everything easy, fun and safe, as well as sharing curiosities that made the tour even more enriching. Seeing how the water lit up with each movement is difficult to describe and that you have to live in person. It was a magical night that exceeded our expectations. Thank you for this unforgettable adventure!

Amazing customer service - I can only review the wonderful customer service this company has. We booked a bio at kayak tour for 5 and unfortunately the viewing was going to be non existent. The company contacted us and let us know with the option to cancel with a full refund. Was considering just going anyway but then decided on extra hikes in the rainforest n hopefully we come back and can try this company again.

Amazing time - The guides were amazing and kayaking through trees in the dark was a unique experience. We didn’t see the bioluminescence but it rained which provided another unique aspect.

You will get WET! Bring a towel! - We did the 8:30pm tour and saw little bioluminescence, which was fine and expected based on prior reviews. However, the tour guides gave us a tarp to try and see some of the glowing flagellate and after paddling a bit with our hands in the water we saw some glowing bits! Our tour guides (Willy? I think was his name?) provided us with tons of entertainment and laughs and also were knowledgeable about the history of the area! I will say we were a bit naive to not think about bringing a towel and wear a bathing suit/bring a change of clothes for after. However, it was a bit frustrating that our tour guide told us not to bring any bags that we couldn’t keep in our cars (and we Uber’s there from San Juan) so we did not think of bringing anything with us. It would be helpful for the tour company to include info about bringing a change of clothes and towel in the description. Overall, still a great experience to kayak at night through the mangrove trees and Puerto Rican waters!

No bioluminescence - The guides were great! There was almost no bioluminescence. I really expected it to be much better based on previous experiences.

We could not see any of... - We could not see any of the bioluminescent wildlife which was a little disappointing. Also the smell of the seaweed was a little overwhelming at times but it was still a really nice experience. The moon and stars were out and I enjoyed kayaking and the calm water.

Disappointing, deceiving, SCAM. - This experience was extremely disappointing. We paddled to the lagoon/bay and were immediately told there was no bioluminescence and that maybe we could see it if we put a tarp over our heads. When I asked the tour guide if it had to do with the moonlight he said no, that it was because of light pollution and because of the organisms hadn’t reproduced and they only do every so often. This felt like a scam, if the tour guides knew that it would not be visible they should not have been booking tours and should have just called it “kayaking in the dark”. Extremely disappointing. Worst excursion on the island.

First of all, if you are... - First of all, if you are going to purchase this excursion, check when the bioluminescence is during the year. Because there is no bioluminescence during the month of August. We were told by a few locals there was no visibility for this. And, you need to arrive at check in because they give you instructions ahead of time. My friend and I didn't make it on time and they did not allow us to reschedule even though we had already paid. This soured our experience. But we were told by the locals we actually dodged a bullet because we didn't miss much.
