Challenging trek. Definitely needed 3 days. Great photo opportunities and views. Good idea to start last day early - Marcos was an excellent guide. Pace was comfortable to keep group together. Very informative on history, fauna and flora. Trek was challenging. Meals were good, large servings. We paid extra for private rooms.

Challenging tour in a dreamlike landscape - Very challenging but scenic tour. The accommodations were much better expected and the food was great. Guersey was a very sympathetic and attentive guide. Our group was only 6 people and then had ample opportunity to run for themselves.

A magnificent trek and a golden guide! - We made the trek from Colca Canyon in 3 days and 2 nights with another couple and our guide Jonathan. Jonathan showed great kindness as well as great patience. He's always listened to us. He took the time to explain many things about the fauna, flora and traditions of the people of the canyon. He has also adapted to our level and constraints. The canyon itself is beautiful. Somewhat physical when you are not used to it (the altitude also playing) but there is still the possibility to rent a mule for 80 soles on the last day if necessary (to make the climb). The advantage of three days is to be able to fully enjoy the beauty of the canyon and take your time:)

Highly recommend this tour! - We had an amazing time in the Colca Canyon on the 3 day tour. Spending 2 nights in the canyon meant we had more time to take in the spectular views and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lodges. Our guide Jonathan was so knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. He was also great at letting us walk at our own speeds. The lodges were basic but clean and the perfect places to relax and unplug from the world. The food was so good and we never went hungry!

A nice trip around Arequipa if you like hiking! - A very nice experience with nice views during the hikes and cozy afternoons in the lushus bottom of the canyon. Definately worth doing 3 days as you get to chill a bit and explore the canyon before the tough climb up on the last day. Our guide César was very good and had a lot of knowledge about both the canyon and Peru in general. Can definately recommend!

Sweet hike - I want to start off with saying that our guide Ghersey was amazing. He made our trek very enjoyable. He was helpful, knowledgable and informative. The company is well organized and their buses are nice. The trek itself is very nice and doesn't even need to be done with a guide. But the guided tour brings you to a few other spots that you wouldn't otherwise visit. The first accommodation in San Juan de Chuccho (Posada Gloria) was great and the food was delicious. The second accommodation in Sangalle (Tropical Lodge) was good too with a pool and decent facilities but the food left a lot to desire. Like protein. And larger portions. Our first meal once we arrived was plain white rice, plain steamed veggies and a fried potato. No sauces were available to season the plainness. Our second and final meal was pasta in a plain sauce with more veggies. When I requested seconds I was told no. No protein in either meal when it would have been most needed after a several hour long hike. Bring lots of water because it's very expensive at both accommodations (s/20 for 2.5L). It's a bit cheaper along the trail - our guide would tell us where to buy it cheaper. None is provided. Lunch the final day is not included but they bring you to a buffet in Chivay which is s/40. You can easily find something closer to s/10 down the street for local peruvian food. Overall I really enjoyed this trek and it would have been perfect if not for the food at Tropical Lodge.
