Appreciating Simple Wonders - In my opinion, there’s something truly special about having dinner at The Mayan as the sun sets. For me, the experience is about so much more than just the food—it’s about that unforgettable moment when the sky comes alive in streaks of gold, pink, and purple. Watching the sun slowly disappear over the horizon, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for being in such a beautiful place. Personally, I find that The Mayan’s atmosphere naturally encourages you to pause and really savor where you are. It’s as if time slows down for a while, letting you truly appreciate not only the flavors on your plate but also the little things around you: a soft breeze, the warmth of good company, or the peacefulness of dusk setting in. For me, these quiet moments bring a certain kind of peace and a reminder to be thankful for life’s simple pleasures. Maybe it’s just my perspective, but I believe a dinner like this is more than a nice evening out—it’s a chance to reconnect with yourself and the world around you. The natural beauty, the thoughtful environment, and the feeling of gratitude all combine to make the experience feel almost spiritual. If you’re someone who values moments of reflection and appreciates the understated joys in life, I think you’ll find a sunset dinner at The Mayan as moving as I did. For me, it’s about embracing the little things and leaving with a full heart.

Mama says if you have nothing good to say , say nothing at all ! - The trip advisor add was a little off. There were 6 of us. On line they claim to have bread service.. not true and A welcoming cocktail, also not true. We did finally get a rum punch by showing them the add and much confusion. There was a video we watched on a screen and that was it. I hope they do well and I’m not one to dis a business. So when it comes to the food and selection I plead the 5th.
