Wonderful day in Yanaka with Yanesen Family - The tour was an unforgettable immersive experience for our entire family (parents, 3 young adult sons). We were well cared for, including inquires about food allergies and special needs days before the tour. We were greeted warmly at the cafe with some of the best coffee we've had in Tokyo. The tour through the Yanaka neighborhood was interesting and insightful and filled with treats along the way. We saw the historic Yanaka Ginza, Nezu Shrine, historical landmarks, ancient cemeteries, and even had fun hidden shops and restaurants pointed out to us that we never would have seen walking around on our own. The cooking lesson for lunch was delicious and fun and we learned many new things. Since we were all fairly experienced at cooking, the lesson was tailored to our skills. We had a fun time doing calligraphy for the first time and left with a meaningful souvenir to remember the day. I loved that it was a day that was planned for us without having to figure out what to do next or how to travel to our next destination. It was the next best thing to having family or friends in Tokyo to show us around. By the end of the tour we really did feel like part of the Team Yanesen family, and I know that if we are ever in Tokyo again we would be welcomed warmly again.
