Great overview of tea and matcha making - Lovely tea ceremony with multiple teas to sample, history and information about each, a matcha making experience with a deliciously paired sweet. We had a great time and would definitely recommend for a great overview of Japanese tea.

It is located across the... - It is located across the street from Tokyo university. The class was so educational and gave me a deeper appreciation for the religions and culture of Japan. It is a hands on approach which we wanted.

If you enjoy trying new flavors, you'll love this tour. - If you'd like to try different Japanese teas in a relaxed atmosphere with a charming hostess, this tour is perfect for you. It was a wonderful experience watching the hostess preparing the different teas and explaining their properties. (There is also a projection with the information.) Tasting the individual teas was also very interesting, as they weren't the types of tea you'd normally drink. Of course, she also explained the properties of Macha tea, and we were allowed to prepare our own tea under her guidance. To avoid disappointment, it should be made clear that this tour is NOT a tea ceremony, but rather a tasting of various Japanese teas. Don't miss it and enjoy it like we did!

Not what we expected. - This is NOT the tea ceremony you are expecting. It is more a lesson on how to make matcha. If you expected to get a geisha like woman making you tea while you sat on floor, wrong program.
