Hwange is particularly famous for its vast herds of elephants, which are among the largest in Africa. Remarkably, while elephant numbers have decreased across the continent, they have prospered in Hwange. These herds move freely between Hwange and the adjacent Chobe National Park in Botswana, ensuring excellent elephant sightings throughout the year.
