Wanale Subcounty Headquarters - Departure is scheduled for approximately 08:00 hours. This hike leads adventurers through the stunning Wanale Ranges, which are part of the Nkokonjeru arm—a 25km long lava flow from the volcano’s side. Participants will enjoy an inspiring hike amidst breathtaking flora and fauna, petrified wood, caves, waterfalls, and unique rock formations, culminating in a refreshing swim in the pool of virginity as a reward for the challenging trek. Caution is advised against throwing stones into the Nabuyonga stream, as local folklore warns that doing so may result in a thunderstorm before departure. The journey concludes at the campsite.
