We meet at the entrance of the Recoleta Cemetery. The entrance is a big white gate with 4 high greek columns that says "Requiescat in Pace" (Rest in Peace) on top. There is a plaque that says street Junin 1760 (google maps marks it at Junin 1851). Look for a guide in ORANGE.

Walking tour Recoletta Cemetary - Wonderful tour with Veronica who is extremely knowledgeable and articulate She told many fun stories and histories of many of the sites I don't think the visit would have been worth doing without the tour to explain so much of what the cemetary is to the city. Definitely a must do when in Buenos Aries

Great stories. - Great stories and energetic caring guide. If you wander solo, you’ll miss out on the history. It says it’s with free walking tours. But there is a charge and they will ask for your name at the end of the tour.

Victoria kept us engaged, great experience! - Our guide, Victoria, was great. We though the 2 hours would feel long but they flew by! She did great story telling, we appreciated that she stopped in shaded areas to tell us stories about some of the sites that are in direct sun, and the pace was great. Highly recommend her!

Informative tour of the "kingdom of the dead" in Buenos Aires - Worth seeing cemetery with great guidance and organization. We booked here at TripAdvisor and in Buenos Aires the tour guide had our names stored on his phone. The ticket was electronic on our mobile phone and the tour could begin unhindered. Before that, however, we had to pay the entrance fee for the cemetery grounds at the ticket office, which we knew since booking in D. The entrance fee is 14 US$ (became a bit more expensive) The tour guides have divided a larger group into 3 groups and so we could easily follow the explanations during the tour, which was conducted in English. The life of Evita Peron has also been addressed, it has differed considerably from that of her husband (dictator). It was and still is popular and unforgettable among the population. Overall, a highly recommended trip to the cemetery culture of the richer sections of the population. Whether these have all arrived in heaven is doubtful.

It could have been better. - It lasts two hours and there are signs in Recoleta forbidding the consumption if drinks. Our tour was held under the scorching sun; therefore, we had to leave ahead of time or we could have gotten sick due to the heat.
