A taste of Tango for the non-night owls - This was a one hour tango show that was a lot of fun, and it included some really interesting other acts. The facility is lovely and full of charm. A big consideration for choosing this show, as far as we were concerned, is the show started at 8:30 and we were out and back to our hotel by 10. Which meant we could get a good night sleep before an early flight the next day We did the show only, which comes with a bottle of water for two people, and a bottle of wine for two people we had the Merlot which was absolutely mediocre and we did not finish it All in all, this was a worthwhile experience and we recommend it.

Impressive Tango Dinner Show that is worth it, - I was looking for a tango dinner show that caters to a small crowd and a venue that is not in a big theatre for a more intimate experience. And the early tango show and dinner at 7PM is more convenient for us. Algibe Restaurant has good reviews among the restaurants in Buenos Aires. We were given a choice for the 3 course gourmet dinner with drinks included and it was very good. The service was excellent. The show was impressive. From tango and folklore dancers, the musicians, a band, and a male solo singer completed a well rounded cultural experience. I booked through Trip Advisor, in particular with this tour operator, Private Tour Guide Buenos Aires, @ carlos-batourguide. Their price was much cheaper than the other tour operators. I would recommend for a tango dinner show. It is worth it. Come early to get good seats.

Authentic Tango Show in Buenos Aires - There are many places to see tango performed here in Buenos Aires but most of them don’t start until 10:00pm. If you want an earlier show this one is a good option. It is in a smaller venue with three levels of seating so everyone has a good view of the stage. The show is non-stop high energy lasting an hour. There were from one to three couples dancing tango with costumes that evoked the 1940’s and were changed throughout the show. There was also a performance of flamenco with boleros and drums, a few solo vocal numbers, and some instrumental pieces played by the band. The band included a bass, piano, bandolero, and guitar. Their playing really set the mood. A few comments to share. The description of this show on TripAdvisor made it sound like the optional dinner was a set menu. We’ve found that the food served at this type of setting is sometimes lacking, so we opted for show only tickets. The advertised time if you chose the dinner option was 6:45, with the show starting at 7:45. When we were seated at about 7:30, others around our table were just then ordering their meals. So the show actually started at 8:30. Had we known the dinner time was very flexible, we would have arrived 30-45 minutes later. Also, diners were ordering off menus, so there were multiple options for what one wanted. If we were to go again, I think we would include the dinner option as the food looked good. Overall, this was a great show, everyone in the cast highly skilled and the result was an intimate experience of authentic Argentine music and dance.

Early supper and tango show - Great experience. As it says it’s an early show ending at 2130 so no need to stay up too late. It’s a great mix of tango / gaucho and music that maintains interest throughout. The venue is small and feels intimate. Ask to sit in the front section if possible. The view from our table was excellent. The food is good if not spectacular but look at the price, it’s good value. Plenty of wine on open pour made for a good night all round and back to our hotel by 2200 We booked thru tripadvisor incl dinner excl transport for a great price Highly recommended

Would recommend! - I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this show was. I was a little worried it was going to be gimmicky and very touristy, but the dancing and music were lovely. The show started about 40 minutes late but went for a full hour, with lots of dances, a few songs, and one gaucho-style performance. I didn't opt for the dinner but other people at the table clearly enjoyed the meal and the portions looked very generous and nicely presented.

Average show - It was an average tango show. The band was very good. There was an act with amazing skills at twirling these balls on ropes (don’t know the correct name for them).

Tango show with dinner at Eljibe - I must say that the show was terrific and the dinner was delicious. Reason for my 3 star rating is: (1) the front desk guy did allow 10 other people to get in before us, although we were waiting to go inside since 6:15 pm. (2) when I asked them if we can sit in the front tables, the waiters lied to me saying there are “reserved for VIPs”. But 15 minutes after show started the same waiter allowed three people to sit in the front. This is sad! (3) a woman was forcing us to get some pictures taken by her in spite of me telling her multiple times we do not want you to take our pictures. After 4 attempts she quit asking us further.
