Highly recommended on up to a 35 degree day - We went in the middle of a 35-degree heat wave, and yet we enjoyed it. It is worth enjoying its swimming pools and the decor of the facilities. Very attentive and helpful workers despite the language barrier.

Ignore the naysayers and visit - Myself and Boo got a one day pass which included the use of a locker. We walked there, 40 mins from the hotel and went through the park. When you get to what you think is the spa you need to go right around to the very back to enter. I got the tickets from TripAdvisor, but make sure you have the full ticket available to show the staff. The ticket in your Apple Wallet won't be enough. Once we got our bracelets for the lockers (these are a must), we headed to the spa area. There was one pool undergoing maintenance, but this didn't really matter. There's plenty of space in the pool and we didn't feel uncomfortable. It is warm, like proper warm. If it were a bath at home, you'd add some more cold water. Plenty of other pools of varying hot and cold temperatures are throughout the complex. No issues getting bed either, but you have to be quick. They do become available frequently during the day. Really great way to relax. We spent 6 hrs there. Food and drink are available at reasonable prices.

Worth a visit if you are looking for a self directed thermal bath experience, but don't expect much pampering. - A visit to this thermal bath was part of an optional package as part of the Viking Riverboat cruise. Along with other reviews, bringing your own towel, flip-flops, robe, water, etc is a good idea. Unsure.if shampoo or any soaps arenallowed, but those are not provided in the many showering areas that are available. Our visit included a changing "cabin" (small dressing and storage area), to which only the person having rented the space has access. One area on property is clothing optional. Multiple inside pools inside of differing temperatures, including sauna and cold water plunge. Massive outdoor pool. Certain times of year are considered peak times, including the week that we were here (October 24th), which coincided with a national holiday on 10/23. This is a classic, very old but well maintained historic and architecturally interesting site. If a visitor is prepped right, this can be an enjoyable experience. Reason for 4 Star rating - we didn't feel particularly welcomed, but didn't expect to be pampered by the staff either.

Really good thermal baths - There is a very large selection of different thermal baths and saunas that make it not feel crowded, but that you can get to the various activities fairly quickly. The disadvantage is that sun loungers are reserved with towels all day so it is difficult to find one available unless you are there very early. The place can advantageously introduce payment per hour, so everyone would be better to limit the use of them. The food is unfortunately terrible, so if you want to eat lunch there, you should not expect anything good.

To do early in the morning - Tickets taken on getyourguide with private cabin (perfect system to leave business). Arrival 9:30 and 24 degrees outside. You immediately plunge into the water at 38 degrees and you are impressed by the frame. Too bad the intermediate pool is under construction. The other outside is 34 degrees. On the other hand, disappointed from the inside with multiple pools in which people pile up and with cloudier water. Glass on deckchair (you have to fight for it) at 9€ per spritz in cup. The sauna downstairs and the cold pool (18 degrees) are invigorating. Departure around 12:30 after a good shower next to the private cabins. Beautiful experience that must be even better with clear temperatures early in the morning and unpleasant in the summer (water at 38?).

Give it a miss - it’s an awful experience ! - Awful experience - overcrowded, hygiene issues, several pools closed and the attitudes of the majority of staff we encountered was very poor. We paid for a private spa experience which came with a private room, with drinks and nibbles together with robes and slippers. It was regrettable that upon exiting the private area, we were greeted by overcrowded baths packed full of people who looked too ill to be anywhere else other than a hospital. Yes, I accept that it would have been grand in it’s heyday, but those days are long gone, and it’s now a teeth grinding and head shaking experience in wondering why on earth people flock here in their droves. I can’t fully explain how completely underwhelmed we were and it was a definite low point of our fabulous visit to Budapest.

Tired and in need of update - Visited the spa with my husband for first time today. Overall impression was clean but very dated. We bought the thalisens package where we got our own room and shower for duration of our stay (4hrs) we had the option of paying extra to stay alday. But we felt it wasn’t worth paying extra. There is many pools indoors and outside all different temps but no jacuzzi. We sat in an aromatherapy room, 2 saunas which were very hot and then went for a couples massage the best bit. I found very relaxing. Around the outside pools there were many sun beds, so there was no problem sitting down and sunbathing. We went up to the 2nd floor to find 2 small outdoor seating areas and indoor hanging chairs with a coffee shop. This was the only one we found as all outdoor kiosks were closed. What could be done to make the stay better? Offer larger gowns we were given XXL and they didn’t go round us. I’m only a size 18 Offer decent sparkling wine and maybe a beer choice for men? Extend the 4hr slot to 5 hrs because this includes getting showered and changed afterwards. 45 min massage and 30-40 min to get showered and changed only leaves an hr for pools. The building is absolutely beautiful but in need of a major update. Some of the pools we didn’t go in because they didn’t look clean. There are other thermal baths in Budapest that look far more nicer. The staff were really nice and welcoming

NO Towels - Website says you can hire towels .... You cannot .... although you can buy overpriced ones. As someone who visited whilst travelling, we picked these baths because it said (when u bought your ticket online) you could hire them. The very rude woman just said the website is wrong...... yeah very wrong.

Not worth it - Overpriced, we visited while construction was ongoing on the outside pool, we weren’t informed of this when purchasing ticket, nor was the ticket discounted! Inside pools are dirty, tiles aren’t clean and spaces for leaving belongings are limited. Only 1 restaurant available that doesn’t accommodate for food allergies. Ordering is a nightmare with the constant queue of people, too little staff to accommodate so many people. Staff themselves are less than helpful, never smile & couldn’t be bothered with anything. This was on a Monday!
