- Tihanyi Bencés Apátság - The Benedictine Abbey was founded in 1055 by Andrew I. His untouched tomb is still visible today in the subchurch. The current baroque church is adorned with beautifully carved wooden altars. The attached museum serves as both a residence for the monks and an interactive exhibition about the monastery’s turbulent history. The monks cultivate lavender nearby, and various lavender products such as chocolate, ice cream, wine, and pálinka are available for purchase in the old village, along with creams, perfumes, soaps, and oils.
- Tihany - The old village was once a fishing community. Today, it features pottery, lavender shops, cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. The traditional thatched-roof houses add a unique charm to the area.
- Balatonfüred - In the 19th century, Balatonfüred became a favored holiday spot for the Hungarian aristocracy. The lively town is filled with beautiful villas from that era. The city boasts a famous promenade along the lakeshore and the largest yacht marina on Lake Balaton. Hungary’s first yacht club was founded here in 1876, and the building now serves as a restaurant.
