Normafa Park - Trying to escape the concrete jungle of the busy city? Get ready to enjoy a unique daily hike in calm forests on the hills of Buda around the city. During a few hours walk in the beautiful nature, you are going to have breathtaking views on Budapest and hear interesting stories that you wouldn’t find in any guide book. I will take you to all the secret spots and lead you on off-the-beaten-path trails, which are not even known by most of the locals either. During the hike I will teach you how to read trail markers so you can’t get lost, even if you are alone without a map or GPS. I am a nature fan, I will also show you the little miracles of the woods. As I grew up here, you will have the chance to talk with me about life in Hungary, and there are no taboos in this conversation.
Join me and receive your surprise after the hike, a little gift for completing the hiking tour. It is going to be a real refreshment after the crowded, noisy city, nature is going to fill you up with energy! :)

Just do it!!!! - This hike was FABULOUS! I can't sing Laszlo's praises enough but I'll try! His communication before, during and after the hike was fantastic. We hiked to some beautiful places (outside of Budapest) and it was nice being out of the city for a bit away from all the tourists! We had a small group which was perfect and very manageable and we all seemed to go at the same pace. We lucked out with the weather but honestly, I would have hiked in the rain if I had to so that I wouldn't miss this adventure. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this - you won't be disappointed. Thank you for an awesome memory Laszlo!

Highly recommend!!!! - This was a fantastic hike! As the other reviewers have mentioned, Laszlo was top notch! Interesting, fun and literally kept us moving! We saw some amazing sights. I cannot recommend this hike enough! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Laszlo for an amazing adventure!

Fantastic hiking experience, just 20 mins from Budapest. - Laszlo is a great guy, and it was a pleasure hiking with him. He is very knowledgeable, and has a deep understanding and respect for Hungarian nature.
We had a great time exploring, and I’m sure we will come again on a longer hike with Laszlo, next time we are in Budapest!

Great day in the Buda Hills! - Budapest has many beautiful castles, government buildings, and churches, but if you are looking for a different sort of experience and getting out into nature, this is your chance. Laszlo was a great guide, taking us out into the Buda Hills and off the beaten path. His English is excellent and he knows a lot about the plant and animal life in the area, as well as showing us some sites relevant to World War II history. It was a very small group so he tailored the trip to our pace and length. Wonderful views from the top of several hills. I loved the time we spent with Laszlo on this hike!

A chance to get out of the city - Laszlo is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Budapest so we were in good hands as we set off for greener surroundings. A short bus trip out of the city and you are in the crisp air of the countryside. Good walking pace with plenty of time for photos of the landscape. A really good ramble and decent workout to work up an appetite for later. You'll get to see a really good vista of Budapest and surroundings and learn some history as you go. A really enjoyable trek.

Amazing views, great guide! - Good hike with a great guide! Not a difficult hike but wear some decent shoes for trekking dirt and rocks. Lovely views, gorgeous landscape. Laszlo was very friendly and informative. He had a great knowledge of history, flora/ fauna and you could tell he loves what he does. He also showed us a great bird watching app, which I am using everywhere I go now!
A simple but delicious Langos lunch and break to see a train station with a little surprise. Great view of the hills from observatory. Quiet, easy hike for nature lovers.

Don’t think you will get a better guide! - We had an amazing tour of the Buda Hills with Laszlo — a truly fantastic guide. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and made the experience unforgettable. He shared loads of fascinating stories, historical insights, and local legends, all brought to life with personal stories.
Funny to hear all his stories, especially the one about his one and a half trips to the UK!!
Honestly, I don’t think you could find a better guide if you tried. Laszlo’s knowledge of the area, Hungarian history, and even mushrooms (yes, really!) is second to none. Also told me the proper way way to eat Ghoulash (soup not stew!) What he doesn’t know simply isn’t worth knowing!
