Normafa Park - Trying to escape the concrete jungle of the busy city? Get ready to enjoy a unique daily hike in calm forests on the hills of Buda around the city. During a few hours walk in the beautiful nature, you are going to have breathtaking views on Budapest and hear interesting stories that you wouldn’t find in any guide book. I will take you to all the secret spots and lead you on off-the-beaten-path trails, which are not even known by most of the locals either. During the hike I will teach you how to read trail markers so you can’t get lost, even if you are alone without a map or GPS. I am a nature fan, I will also show you the little miracles of the woods. As I grew up here, you will have the chance to talk with me about life in Hungary, and there are no taboos in this conversation.
Join me and receive your surprise after the hike, a little gift for completing the hiking tour. It is going to be a real refreshment after the crowded, noisy city, nature is going to fill you up with energy! :)

Hiking the snowcapped hills of Budapest - We had an amazing time hiking the Hills of Budapest. Laszlo was a fantastic guide, showing us around, sharing Budapest’s history along the way and helping us through tricky parts of the hike. He took us to two viewing points and although we could see much due to the fog, the winter backdrop was an experience in itself and definitely worth it. I 100% recommend doing a hike in the winter

Fantastic Hike With Beautiful Views - Fantastic excursion with great views and a knowledgeable guide. This was the perfect way to get out of the city and the main tourist destinations for a few hours, enjoy nature, and learn more about Budapest and Hungary. I went by myself and was the only participant on the tour this day, and Laszlo made me feel very welcome. Must-do while in Budapest.

A truely amazing memory hiking in hills of Budapest - This half day hike with Laszlo was the best experience I’ve had in my trip. The hike was beautiful and what Laszlo can tell you about the nature and hike is incredible, he is truely an amazing tour guide and the way he delivers his knowledge makes it so much more interesting. If you are going to Budapest, you need to book a hike with Trails of Budapest, it will be an unforgettable experience

Awesome hike - This was a very fun hike with Laszlo! He told me a lot about the history of Hungary, what life was like in Budapest, and a lot about nature and plants. This hike takes you to 2 great viewpoints looking over Budapest. He is extremely friendly and I highly recommend it! It is nice to get out of the city and into nature. He also recommended a lot of other things to do in Budapest.

Hiking the Buda side - We had a wonderful hike with Laszlo. He was very knowledgeable about the area & history as well as the forest. He even helped us with navigating our transportation to our next destination!

Hiking with Laszlo in Budapest! - I had such an incredible time meeting up with our guide Laszlo and heading up to the Buda Hills for a fabulous autumn hike amongst the incredible Beech Forest. Laszlo is passionate about nature the preservation of the forest and all of what nature gives us. We found several mushroom varieties, enjoyed breathtaking views of the rolling hills of Buda and the city far below. I hope to meet up with Laszlo on my return to Budapest this summer! His hiking experience is just the thing to escape the fast track of the city! Highly recommended!

An amazing with an amazing tour guide! - Laszlo was the kindest tour guide ever! It was supposed to be a group tour, however it turned out that I was the only one booked! Laszlo took care of me and he had so much knowledge that was really interesting to learn about - including the history of the city & mushrooms haha! The views were amazing!! If you are thinking about hiking in the hills of Budapest I would 100% recommend! I’m not the most avid hiker but it was an amazing experience.

Great hike all round - Laszlo was a great tour guide for our hike. He was very friendly and informative. The knowledge and stories told throughout the trip made it a great experience. Laszlo was clearly passionate about his job and ensuring we had a good experience. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, the hike was a great way to see all of Budapest and the surrounding countryside, the views were beautiful! I enjoyed learning about his other passion of foraging and mushrooms and became quite invested in trying to spot them on our walk! Great trip all round and we would highly recommend the hike, especially with Laszlo as your guide.

Beautiful Hike! - Our hike with Laszlo was wonderful! It was nice to get out of the city for a bit of a nature break. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed the strudel snack as well! We learned about some of the history of the trails, plus some fun facts on mushroom foraging. If you would like to see a different side of Budapest, then this hike is for you!
