Tastes of Budapest=YUM! - Thank you, Kitti! What a fun afternoon on your food tour! Stops were all very different, portions were generous and packed full of flavors. Kitti was engaging and knowledgeable, prepared to accommodate any food sensitivities and made sure everyone was looked after. Even though the stops were few, they were all informative! Tip: skip breakfast if you’re doing an early afternoon tour.

Great introduction to Hungarian food - This was a great introduction to Hungarian food and drink and a great way to explore the 6th and 7th districts where lots of places to dine are located as well as the ruin bars. Kelly was a great host and was very informative and sent us a follow up with what we had to eat and drink along with other dining recommendations for the remainder of our stay.

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time exploring the area and being introduced to local food and drinks led by Peter. Peter was very pleasant, patient and informative during and after our excursion. He went above and beyond by sending a list, which included the eateries, foods and drinks sampled, after our excursion. The only glitch was we were unaware that the meeting point had changed; however, the group waited for us. Thank you!

Well worth skipping lunch for - Lovely insight into Hungarian food with a very enthusiastic guide who also managed to find the time to show me the inside of one of the oldest ruin bars which was an eye opener to say the least. As a solo female traveller it’s not a place I’d venture into alone. So, thank you Peter. We went from street food, a fantastic mushroom soup and classic super light langos with cold beer to a high end porkott. I’d just add here that a glass of Hungarian red wine would have been a perfect accompaniment, followed by the plum palinka which was much smoother than I’ve been led to believe. Then I was time for dessert in another venue which was buzzing. Zserbo, a chocolate and walnut sponge with lashings of chocolate sauce, served with a Tokaji dessert wine. What a finish. Just make sure you’re hungry before going on this foodie adventure.
