Informative Tour w/ Friendly Guide - Our guide, Milan, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He spoke a little quickly, but was very open to questions. He had a fun sense of humor too. Would recommend!

Excellent - The synagogue is absolutely stunning inside and out. Definitely worth a visit. We had a guided tour who gave us an insight into the Jewish history of the area which was fascinating. A must do if you are in the area

Our guide effectively... - Our guide effectively packed a lot of information into the time available - and, though he must have done the tour hundreds of times, delivered that history in a personable manner.

Expensive but worth it - The second largest synagogue in the world with a mix of styles and even some things from the Christian church (organ and pulpit). The ticket is expensive to the standards of the other Budapest attractions and has a security scheme to enter. Inside there are guided tours (included in the ticket price) in several languages that are worth it. It is located in the old Jewish ghetto and has a cemetery next door as well as a tree sculpture with the names of all the Jews killed in the Holocaust. An impactful visit.

Disappointed - The guide explained only the synagogue, and the Garden then left us alone, it was very disappointing
