I wish we could give 6... - I wish we could give 6 stars, but the max is 5. The tour consisted of a large group of people but the guides were phenomenal! They shared their knowledge, they were funny, and it was a truly great experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested.

Worth paying for! - This was a wonderful experience! Our guides were excellent. Claudia was knowledgeable and shared her good humour with us keeping us all engaged with the tour. Her two trainees did a good job too. George(!) in particular shared his family experiences and he knew his stuff. We were delighted to pay for this tour at the end and would not hesitate to recommend it.

A good opportunity to learn about the Buda side of the river. - We learned a lot on the tour! Our guide was from chile but he has lived here for a while studying. The day was very hot and he made sure to keep us in the shade as much as possible.

A picturest view of the city - Buda Castle, also known as Royal Palace/Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site baroque complex which was completed in the 1700s although there had been another building on the site from the 1200s onwards. Once you cross the Chain Bridge to get to Buda, one can walk, take a bus or cable car to go to the top where the castle is. The top provides a panoramic view of the city. There is paid admission to the castle. Indoors, there are exhibits, including royal treasures and art work. After the castle take a walk to Fisherman's Bastion. You'll come across Holy Trinity Square, St. Matthias Church, and statue of King St. Stephen. Fisherman's Bastion is perfect place for photos across the Danube. If time permitting, take a detour to Buda Tower which is the only surviving part of the St. Magdalene Church destroyed during World War II. From there take a bus back into town.

Recommend - We booked this tour on viator at the price of 3€ per person. However, upon arrival, we are told that the tour is "free" although the guide checks our reservation. It is only at the end that you can leave money to pay the guides. It would have been preferable to be more transparent about the terms of the booking. In which case, regarding the visit, Claudia and Adam were very good guides who allowed us to discover the history of Buda through a walk in the city. They were very attentive to everyone's comfort and it was a pleasant presentation of Budapest.
